All panned out as I wrote a long time ago that Peel itself was never with interest and Peel's focus is renting warehouses. Progress happened from last report? Doesn't take this long to build a few sheds and tarmac a road. Could serious all end in the gravy train running off track the money spent on wages.

Smokey "Would my understanding be correct..."
Yes Smokey, that's about it in a nutshell! Peel will be the landlord, nothing more, just as is their relationship with all of the other facilities in the Protos site. TBH I have always felt that they were playing some sort of game and that they never intended to put any of their own money into the SPV. Some have suggested that they were just using PHE for "greenwashing" their "plastic park".

Would my understanding be correct the lease for the SV at Protos is only for the land and provision of services and does not include anything for the factory premises which will built at the cost of PHE? Thanks.

That's true, so only premium users, so ones with their names in purple. Kinda narrows it down!

Keith Riley, Acting Chief Executive Officer of PHE, commented:

"Having spent some time considering the best option for the Protos project, we have agreed with Peel that PHE will assume full control of the project and its further development. In this respect we have already started working with Petrofac and are reviewing the engineering of the project with the view to optimising costs and performance. The next step will be to seek commercial agreements for the offtakes, whether this be electricity, heat, hydrogen or other products, prior to seeking to raise finance for the construction.

"This is a significant and exciting development for PHE as the Company will now be solely responsible for the development of the project at Protos. We wish to thank the Peel team for their work to date putting the planning permission and basic infrastructure in place and look forward to continuing our excellent working relationship with them as landlord of the site.

"We look forward to providing further updates on Protos in due course."

'reviewing the engineering of the project with the view to optimising costs and performance'

So still not even completed the design. Anybody offering dates for the foak commercial system? Obviously not this year, 95% sure it's not next, so when?

vatnabrekk, you clown. Local authorities are locked into long-term contracts with existing waste disposal companies, and don't have £40m or free zoned land to build their own facilities.

It's game over as far as I can see, or at best lots more dilution and years more delay at Protos. And they still need to build a new HQ and intermediate size test/development unit, as I recall.

Sub 0.4p soon.

PHE now have the freedom to talk to other organisations in the UK, such as local authorities and waste management companies.

Also, PHE now has total control over the development of the FOAK at Protos.

So my understanding from today's press release is Peel pulled out of the Protos spv, PHE left to go it alone, timeline extended by another year and potentially two years, and PHE need to raise more cash - which I estimate could be £35m to £40m, so lots more dilution by the look of it.The old adage, "sell in May and go away" seems very apt. No wonder White sold down his shares, if you ask me. Carnage for anyone now unfortunate enough to be left holding. Lemmings and mushrooms only.

They have no money to build Protos? Require raise fund allow construction? Where are the grants? Utter shambles. HUI, I doubt be any better?
