They don't know, they're just peddling their own agenda.

Late reported trades can be for a number of reasons (although there is a legal requirement to report within a certain time frame). They will report the trade price and ADVFN will show the BID and OFFER price at close 16:35 but that may not be the actual time the trade was done so it serves no purpose to analyse.

Nothing you can do about it anyway so don't worry, just follow the next days action.

Good going so far.

Hussyo - I don't know much (nothing at all in fact) about the after-market trades - are they just notifications of trades that happened at 4.30 (but couldn't get registered on the system in time or something?) I'd like to know more -just interested.

Liberum research can be accessed via Research Tree, but you have to be a subscriber. Their last note provides annual rather than quarterly forecasts.

Does anyone have any links to the detailed calculations the brokers are using for Plus, such as Liberum, as I’ve not found anything to explain the forecasts.

Perhaps not but it could well be be a greater percentage from a much higher starting point than what is currently forecast for FY18.

Brokers have trimmed 2019 earnings forecast by 11% over 2018 estimates. The only question is,is that enough?

Fair points Church. On the question of whether they did focus on high value clients in Q2, I feel that likely was the case given Q2 ARPU was highest it has ever been historically. So likely a determined strategy to get longer LTV professional clients to reduce churn and increase base that can trade without restrictions. AUAC was also up as a result ofc.

James Hanbury has made many great calls bought Amazon and topped up when it corrected a few years ago, bought Ocado when everyone was shorting it,said it would be a bumpy ride called Amaya and Stars Group 5 bagged on that and through it all Plus has been his top stock pick and a huge overweight in both Allegra and the Absolute Return. He also made a fortune on shorting sterling on the Brexit vote

Sb888, where PLus is concerned, Odey is Hanbury. Check out OADVMGI ID. On Odey himself, bouncing back very strongly this year. Markets are up, he is short, but he’s still made 20% this year. Macro and China did for him the previous 2 years.

Worth noting that as far as I can see PLUS are the only provider offering negative balance protection to professional clients. This surely has to be a big selling point as with the leverage available they are effectively betting the farm and risk losing everything (house, car etc.) if we have a market shock.

I will be watching to see if there is evidence of professionals moving from IGG/CMCX and others to PLUS. A sure sign would be if IGG copy PLUS as they did with cryptos.

It might take a year or two for this benefit to play out with EPCs choosing PLUS over others but I believe it will give them a significant advantage over the coming years.
