The IGG comparative was against a record quarter.

"Volatility and client activity seen in FY18 have not continued into FY19" Nothing we can do about volatility but the key issues will be client activity, is this market wide or specifically IGG (are PLUS grabbing clients?)

Either way it's not great news as the 5% Rev fall will directly hit the bottom line. So I think IGG will take a hit and PLUS will also in sympathy.

So a 4.7% reduction including only one month post ESMA. However a full 2 months post binary ban to retail clients. What percentage of IGG revenue did binary account for?

Also bear in mind we are trading at just 7x current FY compared to IGGs 16x. I would argue that PLUS rating more than discounts the ESMA impact.

Indeed Andrew. Noted that Rest of World/APAC is up, which although not impacted by ESMA rules seems to suggest the market is still strong, despite crypto buzz fading. Will be good to hear about Plus Singapore in next updates.
This seems a fairly small impact, will be interesting to see what the market makes of it.

IG Group has released their trading update this morning. Down 5% compared with same period previous year.

Indeed it is. Apparently, there is another feed somewhere which includes those beneath 0.5% but im not aware of it, ut i have increase my average quite heavily to 1489 with this rise. Might need a get out of jail card if the big one doesnt hit.

I bought back in yesterday. It’s worth reading the latest presentation as it contains some more colour on Q2. I agree with financethoughts that 2018 forecasts will be well beaten.
