hammered today for some reason as surely the news was not so bad . But I only trade using charts and if a stock can be bought without paying SD - not so many of them sadly !

Abu Dhabi will be a small number of prospective clients but with much more spending power than average & other Mid Eastern investors likely to use this platform resulting in a great opportunity

Increased cash balance is also after substantial buy backs , dividends & US launch costs (whatever they may have been)& would have been over $300mill higher.Interrsting to see whether any acquisitions made will be bolt ons or more substantial.

This one a no brainer and with growth in the US market, dividend payer with growth.

Interesting that our buy backs,which are done independently, doubled yesterday ,when our share price was down substantially.Hopefully we will recover & continue its upward ascent ahead of a trading update early next month

It normally takes a few days for the companies such as HL who hold the shares for benificiary owners to convert the dividend payment to UKP from USD and distribute it to their account holders. Last time HL were one of the first, this time they are not.

Interesting RNS this morning & our Board clearly believe that todays RNS will enable clients to be more engaged with our offerings & possible be tempted to trade more.Some of you who use the platform may have a more pragmatic view ?

It's just a pity the exchange rate has fallen back slightly from a couple of weeks ago....it was almost parity, now back to $1.14 ish to the £.

Good points squeak -especially the return on cash of almost $1bill ,which @ 3-4% would provide $30-$40mill pa whereas at the beginning of the year the returns would have been negligible

Hi..my understanding is that recent share price strength was / is due to strong performance / results from similar platforms eg IG Group, up similar today. Plus rally in equity markets more generally. And also because they hold a lot of cash on which they will soon be earning higher interest rates on than just a few months ago.
