Perhaps our stronger share price in recent days reflects US interest if our US subsidiary is gaining traction & being recognised as such in the US .MoreUS$ revenues while the $ stays relatively strong is no bad thing

Agree Aleman & Q3 showed a reduction from the comparative-although we still expect to be ahead of revised increased expectations-so clearly FY22 will be excellent with an increased dividend & continuation of buy backs.Perhaps we will soon own the company as I am not planning on selling any time soon!
Very optimistic re the US opportunity which presents substantial potential for growth together with progress in Japan.
I appreciate that Plus is still viewed with suspicion by some , resulting in ourlowe rating than some in our peer group but we are hopefully proving ourselves with each reporting quarter & our rating will hopefully soon reflect our achievements since IPO

Maybe not as strong as CMCX but that's a lot of cash on the balance sheet so potential for higher dividend and buy-backs. $950m is basically half the market cap.

Trading update from CMCX shows higher than expected operating income of +21% over previous H1, after market activity improved through August and September. Guidance at Q1 was in line with levels of the prevous year's Q1. PLUS could be looking at an interim dividend above 60 cents and another special at year-end. The current trend suggests a FY dividend possibly above last time's 119 cents?

Well I was already Bullish.

But thinking about it, they ought really to also do a deal with an NFL franchise.

I suggest Chicago Bears could work.

see what I did there?

Today's partnership deal with Chicago Bulls shows that we continue to build traction in the US via brand awareness.Hopefully we will have benefitted from recent market volatility

9 month trading update due by the end of next week & no reason why we should not remain ahead of expectations & our cash pile possibly exceeding $1bill, our revenue mostly arising in stronger currencies than £s, & continued traction in the US market should result in a strong statement & should underpin our current SP

Tend to agree Aleman although due to our variable annual revenues over the years it is not clear what the starting point is -ie revenue H122 was over $500mill & we are, apparently ,ahead of expectation so revenues over $1bill must be possible for FY22 so is the aim to exceed £1.5bill by 26.Clearly US is expected to be a significant part of our business & our CEO is clearly encouraged by the early signs. With view to our sadly weal £ it would be beneficial to have & be seen to have increasing US$ revenues.

Aiming for 2026 revenue of $1.2bn?

Either badly worded.....or they're telling us that costs are rising and that to keep on delivering $500mill+ per year is amazing....and we should be pleased with a company that's generating £500mill net profit a year going forward.....maybe?

"new 5 year incremental, annualised revenue objective of approximately $500mill "
Can anyone explain what that means relative to our recent historical performance -when 3 out of the last 4 years showed revenues well in excess of $500mill & our Interims this year exceeded that level + our operating profits have exceeded $500 mill in 2 of the last 4 years & expected to do so this year.
Was it a typo or have I missed the point ?

In volatile & uncertain markets Plus have performed well & I entirely understand the desire to top slice or sell out completely.I have decided to keep my holding on the basis that i hope that we continue to perform well in a volatile market,we continue our expansion in the US ,continue our buy back program ( we have bought back around 17% of our issued shares over recent years) ,a continued high yield & from my perspective a fear that if I sell I will invest the proceeds in stocks which may not be successful!
Good luck to all, whatever your strategies !

Well, I must confess to a recent topslice. But essentially this is in uptrend (higher highs, higher lows). 50 day MA tends to give support here too

It's been doing the same for long enough, falling with the market, maybe recovering a little as things calm, and then only rising when the specific good trading news comes in. UK markets don't seem to like to anticipate good news. They prefer to fall on doom and gloom fears en masse until good news slaps them in the face. Lack of positivity and poor ratings are why we lose so many good companies to takeover.

I would say risk off, profit taking and relatively better value elsewhere as many shares are down a lot and this one is up.

Why is the share price off when there's so much turmoil in the world right now (a good thing, in the past, for trading activity)? Any ideas/thoughts?

I had bought a very overweight position here over recent months and as I said in my post 7th July planned to reduce post 1H. My expectation/hope was for an share price above 1700 and clearly we have gone far beyond that so I have decided to exit completely.

This is obviously not based on current year trading or the massive cash pile that the market generally chooses to ignore but more looking forward to 2023 where my cautious model forecasts currently match the latest analyst consensus as published on 17th Aug.

I still think current FY consensus is miles below the mark with an eps of $3.32 vs my model at $3.96 (20% higher!). However, for 2023 and 2024 I currently agree with Consensus and for that reason I'm out.

PLUS has always been undervalued by the market for various reasons but you can't argue with Mr M (sadly) when it trades at a miserly PE below 8 most of the time and completely ignores the cash pile but I've been overweight/fully out many times over recent years and I'll be back I'm sure when another opportunity for 10%+ presents itself. I think our bagger days are now behind us!

Some very knowledgeable and pleasant posters here and I will continue to follow and model in the background. I have a slight concern that the Regulator will raise his ugly head again at some point with options having such large daily swings but I'm no longer monitoring ESMA, FCMA and ASX for warning signals in their news releases. Previously they have flagged initial concerns before taking any action so worth watching if you have a large position.
