Ode to all things 162 ...

It was just one of those things,
Just one of those crazy flings,
One of those bells that now and then rings,
Just one of those things.
It was just one of those nights,
Just one of those fabulous flights,
A trip to the moon on gossamer wings,
Just one of those things
If we'd thought a bit
Of the end of it,
When we started painting the town,
We'd have been aware
That our love affair
Was too hot not to cool down.
So goodbye, Dear, and Amen.
Here's hoping we meet now and then,
It was great fun,
But it was just one of those things.

Remember that the 5th licencing round lumps Merjan in with Kifl and West Kifl (the Middle Euphrates or Middle Furat fields), so potentially any award could involve all 3 fields.

All are very close to each other and the main strategic pipeline to/from Basra runs right through them! So very easy and low cost to connect via short pipelines into the main infrastructure, perhaps at the pumping station (PS-3) shown on map:

Obviously been sold hence the drop. No one keeps Petrel in their locker too long. Besides, its turkey time at the Horgan house so needs must?

My source, which is the last RNS, suggests Cantor Fitzgerald is selling these and they still have 5% to sell. So there it is

Perhaps not relying on trying to read the message in your early Xmas dinner gravy and actually
doing some research may help ?

The sell swings are pretty low meaning it's not really possible to sell, buy back cheaper and repeat and given no news and sustained speculative interest and no definitive timeline, price could well creep closer to 5p (without RNS intervention) nearer end Jan

We are due a more substantial fundraise but I'd like to think that would be tied into a 'we have a seat at the table' type RNS

And despite recent World wide cost rises it still only costs a few dollars to extract all that lovely black gold. Obviously PET only have the potential to get an award of a relatively small oil & gas field at perhaps just a few 100's of thousand barrels of oil but still with currently such a low MKT CAP that would propel PET into the £££'s

Iraq's potential is enourmous ... that's why they are dealing with international superpower countries
not minnows with no money , no operating experience and huge losses like PET....

Oil reserves in Iraq are considered the world's fifth-largest proven oil reserves, with 140 billion barrels.

The majority of Iraq's known oil and gas reserves form a belt that runs along the eastern edge of the country. Iraq has nine fields that are considered super giants (over 5 billion barrels) as well as 22 known giant fields (over 1 billion barrels).
