Iraq has set a January 2024 deadline for international energy companies to submit formal letters of intent to take part in its so-called "fifth plus" and sixth licensing rounds, as the country strives to boost gas production and cut imports.

Iraq, OPEC's second-biggest producer after Saudi Arabia, is awarding 30 new oil and gas projects in the two licensing rounds distributed across the country.

Every few years a new set of posters comes along as if they have discovered PET, they ramp, the share price goes up, the long term holders whom are down 90+% and have no point in selling start clapping and cheering...

Some new marks buy on the spike - perhaps just look at the chart and don't know PET has just been a money pit for decades....
then nothing will happen , the sharks will sell and move on and leave more marks holding the baby...

Oh and somewhere along the way PET will get another placing away keeping the gravy train going and diluting shareholdings even further....

But the gamblers thread never listens .... because as they always say (over 2 decades + this has happened so many times ) ....this time its different...

cojones yes I think that is correct. If the Pet team had submitted their tender in September along with meetings as suggested I would assume that this would be a quick yay or nay at around that time rather than a long wait for a decision!!

Felix0007, its still a beautiful chart (and i'm not talking about the immediate daily movements) ;) Indicators are in a much better place than they have been for a long time.

Someone can correct me, but isn't the closing dates for oil companies to bid for oil fields January2024?🤔;

So is this a wouldn't want to be out, or wouldn't want to be in kind of weekend?

All signs point to more speculation, but also feels like nothing is 'imminent' - and when people post 'I'm in profit now' etc.. it puts the willies up people and some will bank profit. Could see a dip before it tracks up again.
