Abdul Baqi Khalaf, advisor to the Minister of Oil for Energy Affairs, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The sixth licensing round has now been announced and all Arab and foreign companies can participate in this round,” indicating that “the Iraqi environment today is promising, especially the oil fields, and there are potential studies with a positive vision for these fields, everyone is welcome to participate in these investments."

PET have been waiting for the Iraqi oil ministry for years and now these licencing rounds are now coming to fruition, the probability of them being awarded something("even if its crumbs") is damn well high.
