As people saw with Briamscombe's stake building at BOR unless its backed by substance the stock soon loses its gains once he stopped buying and he went up to 8%

Apo good on you. I have a decent holding but nowhere near what you have however i did have a nice little holding back in the mid 2000's which gave me a very decent return. Even what I have will pay very nicely if my calcs are about right!! GLA

Happy to share with this PET BB that I am trying to do a few top ups to get even closer to the 3% declarable mark. Not chasing it but just adding when I note any sales. My reasons are simple in that AIMHO potentially 2024 will be the year of the PET

If it is it will be absolutely MEGA but then almost everyone on this thread already knows that!

KD the January submissions is where my early 2024 date comes to mind and it would suggest that whilst PET may have submitted initially in September any decisions/confirmations will not come until then at the earliest.

From articles over the last month, they seem to have lumped LR5+ and LR6 rounds together and added a few extra fields and are now saying January for final submissions. Presumably for both rounds.

All good points KD and did the LR5+ information also highlight when contracts will be awarded?? Part of the information I was trying to find on the web was the tender schedules to give us an indication of when this might happen

Yes, and most Russian companies are going to go for licences nearer the Syrian border or in the South of Iraq (along with Chinese). It's all very political and Iran plays a huge part in which fields their Russian and Chinese friends get. I think that a small field nearer the centre will not be of importance to these bigger IOC's. Especially with the 20 year relationship PET has with the IOM who "want partners, not bosses".
