Yes Mr Bleep Dividends are the future, I have the Virgin Atlantic Card and that works in exactly the same way £20K equals 1 reward flight or business upgrade

Hi Bashor
I must say I'm so happy I changed my strategy and went for FTSE 100 dividend payers.
I've just booked two weeks in Bonaire, flights, villa, truck, diving all of which will be covered by one companies divi. I'll not say which as I don't want to appear to be ramping or recommending.
One thing I will definitely recommend though is the British Airways AMEX card, spend £20,000 and get what they call a companion ticket or avios points (must admit my wife sorts it all out so I don't really know fully how it works) all I know is that for slightly over £1,200 the two of us fly 1st class to Miami and return in business, thank you very much.
Last time we did Kenya in business.
Definite recommend

Bashor - I know them very well. I held them not long after I had major surgery performed by Professor McMahon in 2003. I must look back through my trading history to see when I sold them.

It seems the sum of the 2 parts still isn’t adding up, I’m heavily into SUN just now but hope to join you all with a healthy selection of dividend payers within the next few months, something is brewing at SUN as your able to get an offer for multi millions of shares at the sell price

1gw - This will take off again when all of the manufacturing is out of China or Mr Trump gets his act together and reaches a deal with China. I am glad that we are out of Arris and into something more local - LLOY, SDI and TM17. It is less stressful!!!

Extract below from today's CommScope results. It is reminiscent of Pace-Arris perhaps in the way revenue in the acquired company appears to have taken a beating just before close. Impossible to tell how much, if any, of the decline is due to management exercising whatever discretion they have to book revenue post-completion rather than pre-completion, or staff spending time on finding their next job at the expense of delivering revenue.

“The ARRIS business has been navigating revenue pressures driven by several external factors,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Alex Pease. “This includes a reduction in capital spending by certain large North American network operators, a channel inventory draw-down and the impact of transitioning production out of China due to tariffs. We believe these issues are largely timing related and are confident in our ability to manage through them. We expect to build upon our well-established track record of meeting or exceeding synergy targets to deliver solid value for shareholders.”
