10/5/2024 07:28 | Citywire this morning:- The poor weather has lifted demand for holidays in the short term but Peel Hunt says there are longer-term opportunities available for OnTheBeach (OTB). Analyst Ivor Jones reiterated his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 300p on the package holiday group, which shed 1.6%, or 2.4p, to 144.4p. They have declined 14% this year. He said rain has supported holiday demand with ‘signs of seat capacity growth slightly exceeding demand’ and this should lead to upbeat interims. ‘We forecast first half 2024 Ebitda in the range of £5-£10m [but] the outturn depends on the phasing of marketing. Full-year profit is materially second half skewed,’ he said. A new partnership with Ryanair should provide ‘long-term upside’ and OnTheBeach ‘could grow faster than before’. ‘OnTheBeach has a long-term growth opportunity – in premium, particularly, long-haul beach holidays,’ said Jones. ‘The significance of the Ryanair agreement in terms of risk reduction and growth opportunity is not yet reflected in the valuation.’ | paleje
10/5/2024 07:23 | Let's also see how much compo they get from Ryan air | johnkidd1
10/5/2024 07:16 | Yes, the 145p level looks like its been support for a while and am expecting decent results on Tues given other industry participants. Think OTB is cheap, and will have excess capital this year, meaning a return to dividends which, whilst I'm not too bothered by yield, will attract some other investors in | adamb1978

02/5/2024 14:37 | Price is unreal. Doing very well and have you seen the cash on the books? And I don't just mean customer cash Company carries no inventory, (no planes, trains, automobiles and hotels to worry about or maintain). Just some very clever booking software. And a take on every transaction. Great recovery stock going at a very nice price | undervaluedassets
18/4/2024 06:53 | EasyJet reported figures this morning and commentators on the Company’s chat sites seem very happy , especially with the new EasyJet Holidays part of the Company , which is seen as a threat to OTB , but whose success might also be taken as an indicator that OTB is doing well . | mrnumpty
08/4/2024 14:21 | The whole sector is going well. | trying2trade

05/4/2024 06:42 | IC has an extensive article this morning covering the recovery and prospects for the travel industry, holidays obviously play a big part in that. ....There are two distinct ways to play the travel retailer area. The first is to look at companies that consumers use to book holidays. We like online beach holiday retailer On the Beach (OTB), which benefits from an asset-light and low-cost model. It has been boosted by a recent distribution deal with Ryanair, which now lets its customers access the airline's flights "with full price transparency". This has removed a significant drag on the company’s valuation, which at two times EV/Ebitda is less than a third of its historic average. On the Beach's total transaction value (TTV) of holidays sold was up 27 per cent in its latest peak booking period, helping it to a record forward order book as it focuses on volume growth. | paleje

21/3/2024 08:57 | Big demand for all inclusive holidays amid rising living costs. OTB should be a big beneficiary imo. | aishah

06/3/2024 15:21 | NI savings are likely to filter into buying holidays imo. | aishah
04/3/2024 10:53 | OTB have relatively little control of their own product. OTB like almost everyone in the sector is very nervously watching EZJ and their holidays offering. | trying2trade
01/3/2024 10:06 | OTB rose on a news of non particular significance, hence the correction. | alotto |
