lower US bond yields and nasdaq up following US figures . OCDO has benefited too and will be interesting to see what happens when US physical market opens at 2.30pm. Odds on a further upward movement in nasdaq but markets can sometimes make us look like fools :)

nothing exciting but it did transform my fortunes . it just means " one at a time" which is very hard to stick to but for small player like me who trades it works well . Ok, at times could have 2 positions open but not more as then too hard to stay focused IMO .

Shorts losing big timer at ASC and Boo

Mike Ashley's Frasers Group was busy buying up more shares in fashion retailers Boohoo and Asos, lifting its stake in the former to 10.4% from 9.1% and in the latter to 19.8% from 19.3%.

apology not necessary Cureboy and it was actually me who misunderstood your comment - sorry about that . You make good points and your method works well for you . You are right about trading being a bit stressful at times and I have learnt to cope with that and cutting a loss quickly helps . have a good weekend sport .

I am interested in chartists opinions so apologies if I came across flippant. I didn't like how day trading impacted me mentally so I made a conscious decision to stick to investing in stocks (short to medium term) where I see value. I saw value here at 505p in a similar way I saw value in Coca Cola at 1500p and sold at 2170p (sold abit too early but I was ok with it). I am more comfortable with this approach as I don't worry about daily movements. GL

fair enough but I use the KISS approach and now have the discipline to stick to the OAAT principle most of the time and normally do day or overnight trades using charts and only occasionally take a loss and I try to cut loss quickly . One can still trade using charts and keep a close eye on the fundamentals you mention. Anyway , there is more than one way of making heaps of money I guess and we learn by our initial mistakes , mine being that I strayed from OAAT and suffered .

Certainly trading the FTSE or indices is a safer policy but less financially rewarding

I don't place much emphasis on charts on stocks because I think news and trading updates have greater importance. I know how to read candlestick charts combined with technical analysis and indicators as I spent two years studying them and dabbled in trading the DAX and FTSE indices. Like 95% of people I wasn't very good at it, more psychological. But I understand them.

those who mock charts like you obviously have no idea how to read a chart, Charts are not crystal balls but next best thing . Yes , OCDO finished near high for the day and looking good to move higher although might be profit taking tomorrow .

OCDO chart looks quite promising and edging up nicely after the pullback from £10 area . Wish it was a NO SD stock as I fancy day trading it at times ( wry smile )

yes , OCDO recovering today in a bullish market and most stocks opened higher on back of US market moves . Must confess i have only made peanuts today in my trades but very rarely hold anything overnight which was not the best strategy today ( wry smile ) .Smart to close out your short Nielsc and watch and wait as you said .

Tie up with M & S could help reduce overheads, which need serious consideration.

Turnover impressive, but accounts a disaster?

If share price consolidates, I may move on.

I do have 3 long positions, all losing!

Also 3 shorts, 1 flat; 2 winning.

Decide strategy by 4pm Friday?
