Market recovering and the £ has gained a bit of strength over the past couple of days too.

Has anyone else got a big space at the top of the portfolio and monitor screens? I presume it's a missing advert that has been blocked?

Morning All.

blueliner, that's just typical of Corbyn and many other politicians. No wonder they get a bad press with all the slimy antics they get up to.

Only saw 26.5°C yesterday but it felt a lot hotter. Down to 16.4°C last night and felt lovely out in the garden at 6:30 this morning.

Good day for housebuilders, ref PSN and even unloved MCS.

Outside repairs completed in perfect conditions, max temp was hovering between 26C-28C this was the car display reading so not 100%.
No seat for Jeremy :-)

That's a decent day, SIPP +0.85% LLOY, AV. & BRCI and the pot a rather attractive +2.00% thanks to LLOY, AMS & SGC

Tennis this evening, likely to be a warm one!

Morning All.

Just topped up my WTB to change a tiny holding into a small holding so the 20% gain is now just +9.35% but feel happier I'm starting to accrue a reasonable amount.

We actually saw 26.8°C yesterday but I believe today is supposed to be hotter so we will see.

Thanks, MrP. I guess that they will all be octogenarians, so little chance of anything wild going on.

I'm down -0.283% on the day today (FTSE100 -0.443%).

Worst falls: RIO -2.43%, BLT -1.90% and RDSB -1.79%.

Best rises: TW. +3.52%, WMH +3.21% and BT.A +1.00%.

Miners and oils down, housebuilders up today.

Lots of needles on our drive after the rain and wind, so I was forced to sweep the drive this morning. Decided to complete the job by cutting the grass after lunch.

Off to Yorkshire for Mrs DF's school reunion. Radio silence for a few days.

Forecast looks good for Tonorrow and Wednesday but a bit iffy for Thusday.

Have a great time Skinny, it was absolutely lovely as we drove through there yesterday in the Stag! This afternoon the temperature has rocketed, although there is a pleasant breeze making it bearable.

Plenty of wind here as well.
Having the eaves replaced starting tomorrow, the proverbial soffit and facias plus roof felt have taken a battering over the years. The sparrows will have to find somewhere else to commune.

Notts County Cricket Club batting let them down in the T20 semi finals at Edgbaston yesterday v Northamptonshire, (who went on to win the final), capping a very disappointing season with only one win so far in the County Championship game. Relegation to Div 2 seems unavoidable.

Just down -0.07% on the week, so YTD little changed @ +10.95%.

Er, only 2 sunflowers left today. Bigger than I thought, though. Small ones standing are 8 foot. Tall ones must have been about 11 foot. Of our 3 ears of corn, 2 are on a plant that blew over. Looks like it might still be alive, though. Not much left for all the effort of planting 23 corn and 16 sunflowers!

And the second largest sunflower gone. They were both 9 footers and had outgrown their stakes. 3 7-footers left from 16 planted.

Last week, the tomatoes blew all over the place after I believed the forecast that the wind would ease and did not tie them up more. We lost a large tree branch, too. Today, they said the 20 mph wind would ease from lunch. I tied them up more after they blew about this morning. They are okay but we just lost our largest sunflower and our trees look like they might see more damage. Wind looks to have lifted to about 40mph rather than dropping to 10-15 as forecasted. I've certainly got a load more apples and small branches to pick up before mowing the grass!

Good Morning.

My SIPP finished down 0.05%, -0.29% on the week and is +7.07% YTD.

Wet and squally this morning - plenty of fuchsia blooms blowing around outside and the hanging baskets resemble carousels!

Enjoy your weekend.
