I cant find any reason for todays rise apart from general investor buying. But there is Small company Sharewatch out this weekend.

Maybe, just maybe....

Almost as many transaction in the first few hours today, as the total for the last week. Must be a reason for this?

Apart from the appealing valuation!

I often hear very mixed messages about the growth or lack of, of the North of England construction/property market. And a distinct lack of any forecasts here is also not helping.

But whatever data you read or listen to, it does indeed appear the solid growth and momentum is returning to that area of the country.

If they can capture even a small percentage of that and improve margins further, then as Ic2 says, that is a very powerful combination and the shares are likely to be currently priced at 'bargain levels'.

For purposes of disclosure I also hold shares here, but I fully agree, the numbers look like the business can grow even further, the great summer weather this year should have been a boost for the company (especially the roofing business). Also like the small number of shares (18 million), we aren't being diluted as shareholders.

The EPS jump to 7pence is encouraging, lets see what the end of year results bring. This is a long term hold.

Any thoughts?

odtrading2, the only point that I would disagree with is "still looks relatively undervalued" I think the chances are that NTBR are priced at a bargain level imo.

At 53p they are on a P/E of 6.8.

Net margins increased to 3.63% from 2.52%.

Bullish outlook for financial year.

Exposed 100% to the UK recovery, which is taking hold in the North of England.

Even the net debt level fell to £5.4m from £6.4m.

In my experience a company that is increasing margins and revenue at the same time is a powerful combination. And from such a low valuation.

But I am holding rather alot of shares here, so might be a little biased. :o)

Hmm slight pull back, still looks relatively undervalued and good for upturn with UK economy.

Thoughts?

I am delighted that the company is getting publicity among small cap investors. It is looking good for further rises. I've had mine for a year and a half or so, meaning it is one of my best performers.

Appreciate the new coverage someuwin, Growth Company Investors also issued buy recommendation on 4th July, I had better not copy the write up here in fairness to subscribers. But very much along the same lines as James Faulkner's points.

I knew that after the impressive results that NTBR were very likely to be covered by some of the tip sheets, and I would't be surprised if Investors Chronicle or Share mag didn't recommend the company.

They are still very much under the radar imv.

agree wywcu1, which is why I increased my target price, to reflect the likely PE rating later this year.
