Very positive for the F.D. to buy his first shares a great sign imv.

Director Dealing

Northern Bear announces that it has received notification that Thomas Hayes, Finance Director of the Company, purchased 50,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company (the "Ordinary Shares") at a price of 31.0 pence per share, on Wednesday 19 March 2014 (the "Transaction").

Following the Transaction Mr. Hayes is now interested in 50,000 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately 0.27 per cent. of the share capital of the Company.

I suppose investors were hoping to see further debt reduction - apart from that the numbers and outlook were good IMO. 5m cap or thereabouts now.

Am well happy with these int's and to continue holding for the eventual significant appreciation.

Wouldn't mind seeing some broker tp and forecasts for NTBR, though.

I liked the outlook statement. And the eps was good (annualised pe less than 5). Would have liked to see further debt reduction but looking positive with a strong order book.

Yep not a bad set of numbers and places the company on a good footing given the upturn in the building sector, i get the feeling the next numbers will read a lot better. Pity there was no segmented info.


Strategy / Outlook

The Board's priority in recent years has been to use operating cash flow to reduce bank debt levels whilst trading conditions have been challenging. Whilst this remains our overall priority, we will continue to monitor opportunities for the use of funds generated, including capital investment, bolt-on acquisitions and capital repurchases.

Order books across the Group are strong although the roll out of these orders is always difficult to predict. Despite market conditions remaining challenging we have seen a positive movement in several sectors, particularly the new house building market, and continued strength in the Social Housing sector for most Group companies. This should continue to create opportunities going forward. We are hopeful of a successful second half of the financial year.
