BB - It is better than that there was a one off (non cash) finance charge as well as the exceptional - total about £0.5m. Adding back in these items to EPS is likely to give an EPS of around 10p and a PE of circa 5!

Good value in a booming sector!

"Revenue is expected to exceed that generated last year (FY2014: £36.8m) and we expect to report improved basic earnings per share (FY2014: 7.6p) despite the impact of one off and exceptional items."

Trading update out, and reads well with trading ahead for fy 2015 (March) strong order book and reduced debt and lower finance charge. One off exceptional 259k but contained within numbers.

With earnings above last year's 7.60p and falling debt, it looks like these are on their way to new recent highs.

Let's hope we're all on a winner.Would be nice if the share price took off like it did around this time last year.Bear seems to have many strings to its bow these days and seems to be gathering a good reputation for a variety of building contracts in the NE. All the best.

wyw Of course it all depends who I spoke with. I only asked about dates for a possible trading update and prelims and not how the company was doing.The comment re having another good year was unsolicited and its authenticity uncertain....hence my bracketed comment, "Whatever that means."
Time will soon tell us whether or not Bear has had another good year.

Looking very perky after a rather grizzly time up to May. I think this shot up last year between May and August so a repeat of that will have the bears running for the hills.

Littlealbatross, it all depends on who you spoke with. If it was a receptionist, she is paid to be friendly and will say whatever she thinks will please you. If it were the cleaner he/she may think a good year was full employment although being on zero hours contract. On the other hand if it were a manager or director then you have hit the jackpot!

NTBR announce completion of the first (of 9) refurbishments for Home Group near Middlesbrough.
When I asked about dates for a trading update and Prelims a couple of weeks back I was told "We've had another good year." (whatever that may mean.)
