15/12/2016 13:38 | I am with you Ken it is uncanny how 'timely' some of the exchanges between syd and slippy are but respect him / them either way! And slippy admitting wants ramp up post AGM for a double short position. AGM statement first evidence of Nanoco backing up their product in more detail. Hope it was a good AGM Syd. | firminator1
15/12/2016 13:36 | I agree, products out of the door and cash flow in the bank, and the share price will go up and stay up. | andycapped
15/12/2016 13:24 | Sounds positive but this will only take off once a product is actually confirmed with NANO dots inside. It's been a long wait but hopefully it will be worth it in the long run. Another one of Buffet's favourites entelon is "time in the market not timing the market" which applies to investors rather than traders. Many of us have held NANO for a long time and hopefully that will certainly apply to us before much longer? | warranty
15/12/2016 12:54 | How about other posters from here? Have to admit, I'm still not convinced you and ssw aren't the same person, but if your news here pans out, I don't really care! :-) | kenirogas
15/12/2016 12:32 | Keni ME and all the board was there too,A tv company was named too, I will talk more after the drive back. | syd777
15/12/2016 12:31 | ha thanks Enteleon - probably not been too transparent when i had to tell my wife how much i was down on the shares at c 34p !(for me a decent amount of savings) but something tells me that Nanoco and the technology they are involved in has to come good. Just really pleased a few press leaks and now the AGM given more promise of actual commercial output of this technology into next year. No doubt the share price will keep bob up and down and if i can will try and minimise the drop but overall things seem much more positive all of a sudden. Fair play to the shorts they will do their best to undermine the growth but recent news justifies sticking with it. | firminator1
15/12/2016 12:28 | Meet anyone else there Syd? Thanks for the news :-) | kenirogas
15/12/2016 12:27 | Fil they all did when Stifel said did the Kodak patent cost £5 million divide that by 10 fold £500.000 ;). Let me get back lots more to come. | syd777
15/12/2016 12:25 | thanks Kenirogas i timed it at 4.29pm purchase so just got in. Wow Syd branded TVs at CES rather than generic concept is great news. | firminator1
15/12/2016 12:19 | Syd, you just put a great big fat smile on my face! | fil340
15/12/2016 12:17 | Great news from the AGM! A lot to talk about, let me get back a little taster the TVs that will be on display at CES are all BRANDED! | syd777
15/12/2016 11:31 | enteleon - "Decide what you really believe in; buy courageously; buy cheap; be very, very patient." Very good if you can do it! Very tough indeed to get both correct. I wish you well. Nice to see a bit more "positivism" from NANO. We may actually be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It is A VERY LONG tunnel though, so the latter part of your quote above is certainly applicable here IMO. Looking forward to the AGM feedback when our roving reports return. Then I will look forward to CES 2017 and hope that kicks the share-price higher. With luck it will be a gradual climb back up in-between. | lauders
15/12/2016 11:09 | The market had certainly discounted the Dow performance, hence the share price plunge recently. I just found it strange that the market was giving no credibility to Merck and Wah Hong. To me, that recent plunge was an anomaly driven by short-term traders and shorters. Firminator- I really admire your honesty and humility. Most of us have been through the rollercoaster where our own sentiment is attached to the traders. In the end, I've learned to try and see through that short-term stuff and play the contrarian. Anthony Bolton, who was a star stock-picker now retired, used the expression "investing against the tide". Warren Buffett, the greatest investor ever, uses the expression "Be greedy when other are fearful and fearful when others are greedy". Buffett's preferred time-scale on investing is forever. He is absolutely not a trader. It takes huge courage to fight one's natural instincts. James Montier is brilliant and has written a book called "The Little Book of Behavioural Investing". The whole point is that the market makers rely on we punters following our very natural instincts to make huge sums of money for themselves. Remember, they are taking the money from us ! To counter this, I've developed a mantra which runs: "Decide what you really believe in; buy courageously; buy cheap; be very, very patient." I'm sure our cheerleader, Kuss/Mapocho, who has been the ultimate "constant gardener", might agree ! | enteleon
15/12/2016 11:05 | Have to say I thought the green advancement was part of the process improvements announced two months ago, hence it "is now" in place at Dow.... Also why "WE will showcase televisions using our CFQD® Fine Color film" and not "a Major OEM will showcase televisions using our CFQD® Fine Color film"... Little niggles for me.. | kenirogas
15/12/2016 10:54 | More continuing to read between the lines ? | mr.oz
15/12/2016 10:41 | Yes, I think you're very probably right, kuss. They wouldn't highlight a technical 'detail' like that unless it was very significant to progress. | aimingupward2
15/12/2016 10:26 | It"s the reference to those green quantum dots and Dow that's key. Thats what was holding everything up. Nano and Wah Hong also a bridge supplier for Merck ,, | kuss1
15/12/2016 10:25 | Dow may be a footnote here, but that should make for a bigger impact when LG announce QD TVs for/at CES. Btw, well done for getting back in yesterday, seems I made the wrong short term call...again! | kenirogas
15/12/2016 10:14 | ...still it's pretty dam positive statement but weird Dow is now a footnote and Wah Hong leading the way. | firminator1
15/12/2016 10:14 | The Wah Hong relationship is looking ever more robust and meaningful. The TV's to be showcased at CES will surely not be a stack of no-brand monitors; if that were the plan then frankly it would probably be better not to attend at all. So we can reasonably infer that the TV's to be showcased will belong to a Chinese OEM, with which Nanoco & Wah Hong are concluding an agreement right now. Given uncertainties on Wah Hong's 2nd line I can imagine the negotiations are difficult and it would certainly be a much easier contract to finish if everything was already up and running. I expect to see revenues commence 2017, as promised by Nanoco's board. | fil340
15/12/2016 10:13 | Sounds to me like Dow are finally ready to go - orders awaited. | howl01
15/12/2016 10:07 | Whats going on with DOW???? Nanoco said its film coating partner Wah Hong Industrial Corp, has made film at its facility in Runcorn which will be unveiled on new televisions using Nanoco's CFQD Fine Color film at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January. | mrplay
15/12/2016 10:00 | It"s the lack of customers and sales which was the deciding factor for Merck to go into overdrive to build a huge manufacturing facility. It was supposed to be a long-term option. But I suppose they dont understand the display market ... fools! | kuss1
15/12/2016 09:59 | Up up and away !! | trt |
