Yep the amount Hargreaves Lansdown have made out of me is stupid. Best of luck all going tomorrow to AGM, lets hope for some positive if not at least constructive news. Reality is we will have to wait for Merck revenue but be good to at least know what is going on with Dow. GLA

jfacwc,

"I think it matters a lot."

What matters a lot? Whether you use western analysis or jap analysis of candlesticks?
That means you think one is better than the other? I have next to no experience with the western method, so can't comment on that - and wouldn't want to as i know many people use the western method successfully.

but the jap methodology works well for me - especially for high liquidity stocks with large market cap e.g. ftse 100. Less so for these smaller companies. It's all about probabilities anyway and if you can shift the balance in your favour you should profit.

Anyhow - it's all an academic argument as you have to stick with what works for you...

Syd: Playing 'chicken' is not the way to make money in the market. You should look for opportunity. After selling Nanoco, I bought Nokia calls, which have done very well. I look forward to buying Nanoco in the future.

jfacwc,

"nt, not quite engulfing.."

depends which method you use. Western method states you need to engulf shadows but jap system -which i use - states only the real body. either way - it was not positive as we see today.

On the upside, it does show that LG are now starting to release their CES offering details. As Syd says above, maybe even tomorrow for TV release

"Hammer blow" lol. This monitor is a low volume item. Nanoco longs are waiting to see CFQD film in large-format TV's. It'll happen.

IPS (In-plane switching) is a screen technology for liquid crystal displays (LCDs)LG TVs is using this tech and calling it quantum display. They are going to adapt CFQDs to their new line up at CES 17,this years AGM delay could be in time with the LG launch coming very soon, could even be tomorrow or ME might get the nod from LG to reveal all.I will try and ask him that question tomorrow ;)

The latest info from LG expressing its failure to adopt quantam dots within their latest technology can only be seen as a sign of things just "not happening" for Nanoco at this moment in time and certainly does not bode well for the future.

It is a hammer blow for holders of Nanoco stock, who were hoping for a glimmer of hope before the AGM.

Hi syd - not sure of the point you are making by mentioning IPS, are you saying it is not QLED, I'm not sure it implies that, but it does imply it is LED not OLED.

I'm not an expert on this.

Cheers - Mike

Mike it dose state it supports a IPS panel as mentioned by Keni, this is the same monitor that Apple will be selling from their shops next year.

The odds have to be on more jam tomorrow at the AGM and that's what slippery is betting on with a bit of inside help. Fair chance of a crash before maybe picking up ahead of CES.

syd is right, this is 'just' a gaming monitor not a TV. Whilst it doesn't say it's QD, neither does it say it's OLED.

It also says it is HDR compatible, that is not necessarily the same as saying it is HDR capable.

And this is certainly not their complete line-up for CES that's for sure. They have already said they will be launching (earlier post) a range of QLED TV's.

Best wishes - Mike

No Syd, and you'r right, it is only the monitor. Just the claimed HDR on IPS tech that I find a little worrying. I've no doubt LG will (as they have stated) adopt QD, And hopefully in time for CES, but....

Keni other then the mentioned gaming monitor,I can't yet see the complete line up at CES 17.have you seen all the line ups for CES17?
