Onething,

I can't disagree with any of what you say - strength has fallen away and we are at, or coming to, downtrend resistance. Just a couple of points though:
Last week's hammer (weekly) was near all time lows and didn't breach support at 34. That support has been tested many times and I think is stronger than the downtrend resistance. But, if it breaches 34, then things could get very nasty and suggests something very wrong with the company.
I actually thought it might fall away yesterday with the formation of an evening star pattern underway - but it didn't complete.
So we wait and see - will be interesting to see how the weekly candle pans out on friday. Knowing NANO though - this will probably move sideways now for the next 6 months!

Quantum Dots at CES? That’s Us!
Posted by Nanoco | On January 7th, 2015 | in Our Business
Talk about starting the year with the bang. This week, quantum dots found their way into the mainstream narrative with a big development –the first quantum dot displays from LG debuted at the CES 2015. These beautiful, new, quantum dot screens are powered by Nanoco’s science and technology, more than a decade in the making.

Jfacwc, apologies if I seem to be sitting on the fence. I felt I needed to point out that I saw a different possibility in the chart to what Night Terrors posted. But then qualified that with the news statement as I felt I was going to be seen as negative. I want nano to succeed and am waiting to reinvest once we kick into gear. At the moment I see us as still in a downward trend so I remain out.

See hxxp://shorttracker.co.uk/company/GB00B01JLR99/all for latest short position and JPM 0.24% increase on the 8th December. Total is now 4.14%.

Haven't seen a change in the total 'short' figure anywhere?Anyway, surely a 'little knowledge' is a dangerous thing..Onething, your posts are subject to a lot of interpretation. You are never going to be wrong, whichever way the share price goes?Do we all really need reminding that we are running headlong over a cliff?Personally prefer to try and remain reasonably optimistic, and patient, and give out comments, when due, to Management inadequacies/positives.

I see J P Morgan have increased their short position. It would be interesting to have some comment from someone who has a bit of knowledge on the strategies used by these companies. Has anyone seen any intelligent comment on this on other company threads?

Well NT that looks like we have just repeated the spike down of 6 weeks ago, but at a lower level after the reversal failed. In fact I see us about to test the topside of a downward channel, as opposed to the horizontal range I have been expecting. This could lead to 30 or below. Unless of course some good news breaks. But will this propel us irrevocably upwards or lead to a repeat of this summers rise and subsequent exhaustion of the momentum?

Yes, up 15% in a week following a 30% drop in 2 weeks, but seeming to lose momentum with 3 trading sessions to go until the AGM and hopefully enlightening news. Bounce or breather. Net result is down 15% in the run up to the AGM. Let's see what the week brings.

A quick glance at the candlestick chart and a bit of a tail off in volume suggests the bounce is losing steam. I don't imagine any news before AGM apart from possibly more holdings declarations (confusing as they often can be).

Slowly creeping back up, but no major spikes. Needs a good RNS of inward income.
