14/2/2018 12:51 | Who is the large US company? They must have a product for market. Early stage cycle.. | rochdae
14/2/2018 12:45 | Also, on the weekly chart MACD has risen above 0 for the first time since October 2016. Looks like real momentum could be building up. | nowenterprise
14/2/2018 12:22 | 20 day ema now poking above 200 day ema. Usually a very good sign | volsung
14/2/2018 12:08 | it can be quick ... I bought IQE as well as NANO x5 years ago. IQE 20p - 180p in the last 12 months, sold them at 600%+ profit at 148/156 and recently bought some back at 101p. So yes it can happen, although I don't think NANO are as diversified as IQE also IQE are supplying now as opposed to NANO been x12 months away. Expecting IQE back at 140p level after results in March, and NANO consolidating above 50p following theirs..... 48p is breakeven for me after selling at 149p, and buying back at 60p and below so still not making a profit but feel patience will pay off.. | hannath
14/2/2018 12:08 | Interesting talk by Naasani coming up.. 'Nano-Pharmaceutical | rochdae
14/2/2018 12:04 | Pretty unheard of for a large US company to fund capax of a supplier. Shows they must have no choice. Second that they are in a rush to get their supply. Another positive RNS is very possible in this industry. Could easily send this over £1. And positives can now come from multiple sources .. Dow, Merck, Taiwan .. | rochdae
14/2/2018 11:51 | No of course I don't expect to get back up to 140p straight away. However shares can move in either direction far further than consensus. Nanoco was portrayed as a basket case.Oh how times have changed as the market wakes up to a possible global superstar in a staggeringly exciting industry. The best of British. | j777j
14/2/2018 09:42 | looking very similar to the rise in mid 2016 | volsung
14/2/2018 09:30 | That bit nearer to 50p looking good | trt
14/2/2018 09:30 | I wonder if these will go down as the worst calls ever: DavR0s 8 Feb '18 - 07:39 - 15921 of 16179 0 0 0 Unnamed deal with unknown revenue - in fact content less. It could be the CEOs gran buying one dot for all we know. Pointless rns and I'm surprised the advisors didn't intervene and say as much. All this does is remind people how this company has operAted in recent years Bagpuss67 8 Feb '18 - 07:42 - 15922 of 16179 0 0 0 I don't know what all this apparent need for secrecy is all about..Angle just announced a project and named Abbott no problem. It does make me question the substance here of the announcement. I already have a view on the substance of management. Hyper Al 8 Feb '18 - 07:43 - 15923 of 16179 0 0 0 gersemi Yep it's a pointless RNS, but it's probably released because AIM T&C's require it. mr.oz 8 Feb '18 - 07:57 - 15925 of 16179 0 0 0 Shoring up the SP Rathean 8 Feb '18 - 07:57 - 15926 of 16179 0 0 0 That is just the worst rns. I've been watching this one for ages, watched the 18p placing and still saw no reason to pile in. Just awful management, no facts just signaling. | deltrotter
14/2/2018 09:25 | In all the funding issues late last year, we seemed to miss some developments in quantum dot technology that came out last year. Progress has been made on cesium lead perovskite quantum dots. The US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)have achieved world record levels of conversion efficiency for solar (13.4%). The article below claims CsPbI3 perovskite materials are non-toxic and cheaper to make than nanoco's indium based approach and Fuji are one company on the road to commercialisation but it doesnt look as if they are quite there yet. Not trying to de-ramp - just update some background information. | minsky
14/2/2018 08:08 | Not sure that this guy has his information right but he seems to think so (from Nov 17) so I thought I'd post. Anyone know where Sony source panels from now? They are pushing the trilluminos down the range for 2018 as well with a broad range of sizes. As I understood they used advanced phosphors rather than QDs since 2015/QDV? | howl01
14/2/2018 01:23 | Thank you for that mrsooty. There is no doubt that NANO are strong on patents and very scientific. It is just the PR side that I have never liked and if they can get that together like they have with their science then I am sure the share price will reflect this better. Here is your link again: | lauders
13/2/2018 22:58 | hxxp://stks.freshpat some very interesting reading...2d flakes & bubbles! | mrsooty
13/2/2018 22:09 | No worries nowenterprise Amazing how quickly sentiment can change with the right piece of news. I suspect the conversion rate of other OEMs will now begin to accelerate. | ghaon
13/2/2018 20:46 | Thanks GhaoN. | nowenterprise
13/2/2018 20:01 | As a somewhat long-term holder, along with many bb subscribers here, the recent news from nanoco (though not actually mentioning, in this case, a company name), bears a close resemblance to the Merck news of 1st Aug 16.Is this news likely to be more significant, or do we all need to keep our wits about us?The goose and slippy, at that time, regularly helped sew doubt to the best of their abilities. It would be nice to think nanoco are now drip feeding information to us, to better maintain momentum? | jfacwc
13/2/2018 19:58 | If we go back 4 years to the Dow deal, Nano were on their first generation Qdot's with no productive capacity and with Dow's plant years away and the share price was 195. Now Nano on their 4th generation Qdots, having made huge advances in the tech, and production from Dow supplying to the market and with a number of OEM's adopting the tech with pre-production models and with production models being just a few months away. Merk has signed up plus Wah Hong plus this new unnamed US partner who are funding capex and growth. Plus the Qdot industry is flying .. Yet we are at 41p. Can't stay there for long imo. I note those 5 new production jobs advertised refer to mainly the synthesis of cad free Qdots, so nothing to do with the new partnership yet. We're yet to see those jobs being advertised. | rochdae
13/2/2018 19:05 | From the Times: "Among small-cap stocks, shares in Nanoco rose 6¼p to 40½p, an 18 per cent leap that continued a sharp rise that started last week after the Manchester-based nanomaterial developer said that it had secured a deal to supply to an unnamed listed US corporation." | ghaon
13/2/2018 17:49 | trt, what does it say? Gotta be in it to win it? lol. But seriously would you mind pasting what it said? Thanks. | nowenterprise
13/2/2018 17:18 | Nice little comment in the Times today. | trt
13/2/2018 16:44 | Lovely close at 41p, profit taking not doing too much to the share price so far. Volsung, 75p would be nice indeed, however I don't see any reason for this not to reach £1 by end of year. As concrete commercialisation news begins to flow we can expect ever increasing interest from the market. | nowenterprise
13/2/2018 16:09 | 75p would be a nice price for this. | volsung
13/2/2018 15:56 | To be honest mwwh I don't believe most of the PR that comes out of TCL. They make wild claims and change product specs/release dates constantly. The range your talking about (P / 6 series) though is TCL's decent spec on a budget (their bread and butter). No QDs have migrated down that far down (yet). | howl01 |
