Crunch talking moderated words, the unmentioned TV to bring out 75" 95" could well be Apple, are they going to choose a award winning CF supplier ahead of cheap untested QDs like QD vision? The dream is not the same as the outcome.

The thing with ME is that if he had stayed in the UK etc... the share price would still be where it is now. It's basically at the pre-Dow deal price.

So QD vision gone, next will be Qtm and then Nanosys. As I mentioned many months ago.

Dow haven't given up with Qdots. In fact I note they are advertising for Qd positions on their site. Hisense, TCL and Philips bringing out new Qdot lines.

The hold up for Nano is cadmium Qdots. Until the regulatory environment tightens that will remain the case.

Nano a long-term play on the shift in science. But the market is moving under the surface, and quite rapidly. Making cadmium Qdots is relatively easy; cad free is incredibly difficult.

Bagpuss clearly as a CEO he has taken the liberty from Nanoco as one of the founders. To run a company from abroad and see it dive to all time lows has put many investors out of pocket and out of Nanoco. The big IIs have been reluctant to ask for his head and why are they still onboard?

There should be 100% focus and commitment from ME ME ME. They haven't made it yet. Far from it. They have spent a huge amount of other people's money. And ME ME ME has cashed in a load of his free shares for huge personal gain before the people who paid for it got anything back. Worse. He's spending some of it on dabbling in similar markets along with his "independent'. The scale of ME ME ME's personal indulgence on the back of other people's money beggars belief. The whole idea that you gain credibility from huge spending on C suite, CEO in the states, full listing, full time investor lady, before you have a real business not just a cost centre/ research establishment is a p take . Imho

He could hardly buy nano in the closed period

Dealing in close periods

3. A director must not deal in any securities of the listed company during a “close period”. A close period is:

(a) the period of two months immediately preceding the preliminary announcement of the company's annual results or, if shorter, the period from the relevant financial year end up to and including the time of the announcement; and

(b) if the company reports on a half-yearly basis, the period of two months immediately preceding the publication of the half-yearly report in accordance with paragraph 12.49 of the listing rules or, if shorter, the period from the relevant financial period end up to and including the time of such publication; or

(c) if the company reports on a quarterly basis, the period of one month immediately preceding the announcement of the quarterly results or, if shorter, the period from the relevant financial period end up to and including the time of the announcement (save that for the final quarter paragraph 3(a) of this code applies).

4. A director must not deal in any securities of the listed company at any time when he is in possession of unpublished price-sensitive information in relation to those securities, or otherwise where clearance to deal is not given under paragraph 7 of this code.

You either go with your gut reaction, or make up something in your head that rationalises the negative news as a positive. Usually a positive post on a bulletin board helps that second scenario.Best advice is get out when you feel uncomfortable.

growth prospect than nano, just what we need

mrsooty, it would be interesting to know if ME has a holding as well
but the 2 companies do appear to have common links, with nano's
led grow lights, perhaps they are going into the cannabis business

Sloppy reporting, stating quantum dot is exclusive to Samsung.

"Hisense unveiled two 4K ULED series 8 and 9 televisions at the 2017 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix – the latter with its version of Quantum Dot technology.
Quantum Dot has been exclusive to Samsung and while Hisense/Sharp’s implementation may be different the theory of using different nano-sized dots to display RGB colours is similar. Samsung calls its technology Quantum Dot 2.0 and is working on version 3.0 that will see QD pixels emitting their own light, as in OLED."
