21/3/2017 16:33 | We have a fortnight until we get some update, one way or the other. | andycapped
21/3/2017 16:21 | God knows what I am saying. I've never been to Korea in my life. I think I'm saying the building in the Nanoco document is the Cheonan Dow factory we all know and love and have committed to memory as you suggest (which might be a SKC Haas joint facility). The SKC Haas building in the newspaper article is in Seoul. SKC Haas have other buildings as well, such as in Poland. | minsky
21/3/2017 16:11 | MinskThe Heath claim 170 companies operate in their business 'park'It was the site of ICI research years ago and the labs are now rented out to companies like Nano. Ideal for them really. | tonsil
21/3/2017 15:57 | Minsky are you saying the Dow cfqd plant is in Cheonan and the SKC Haas plant is in Seoul. | roadster750
21/3/2017 15:28 | That's because they are different buildings. One in Cheonan, one in Seoul. | minsky
21/3/2017 15:20 | Judging by the share price I don't think anyone is using nano dots full stop. If goes down again tomorrow I am officially done. | firminator1
21/3/2017 15:06 | I think that was the point roadster was making. | onething
21/3/2017 15:05 | They look like different buildings to me. | andycapped
21/3/2017 13:58 | Study the picture of the Dow cfqd site on page 13 jeez we should all know what it looks like by now Now look at the SKC Haas plant | roadster750
21/3/2017 12:44 | Seems to be likely. Nanoco had a Phillips prototype set in their suite at CES 2017, and it's been mentioned on this thread before that it's believe Wah Hong will be supplying the film to TPV/Phillips. But we still have no official confirmation. | andycapped
21/3/2017 12:31 | Anybody know if Philips use Nano dots? All the best Philips will in the second half of 2017 release a new 8000 series TV that will be the first model from the company to utilize quantum dot film. The first details of the yet-to-be-released TV are available in the video below. Video: New Philips 8000 series Philips has unveiled new 7000 series and 9000 series TVs but for the first half of 2017 last year’s 8000 series will carry over. A new 8000 series model will launch in the second half of 2017 – possibly at IFA in Berlin. Philips’ new 8000 series was teased at the company’s European launch event in Madrid last week by Danny Tack, Director Product Strategy & Planning. It will be the company’s first LCD TV with quantum dot film that can help achieve higher peak brightness and a wider color gamut. - “It is with quantum dot film and will be 1000 nits light output,” said Danny Tack The full video in which Philips teases the upcoming 8000 series is embedded below. In the video the TV is compared side-by-side with last year’s 7601 model but Philips stressed that it is an “early prototype” without the new P5 video processor. | toyin
21/3/2017 12:30 | Thanks for doing that tonsil. Much appreciated. They must be there though. | minsky
21/3/2017 12:10 | Drove around the Heath site today. No signage for Nanoco at all. The only company sign is for Getronics. The Heath complex has visitor and conference centre with a site restaurant. Perhaps a nano activist shareholders lunch could be held there. | tonsil
21/3/2017 11:52 | The Dow website lists one facility in Cheonan: Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials Korea, Ltd. (They didnt bother to update the name after taking over Rohm & Haas) They entered into a joint venture with SKC - hence SKC Haas Display Films. The story about selling their stake in the plant actually emerged in February. This isnt fake news. What we dont know is whether this has anything to do with the Nanoco facility. | minsky
21/3/2017 11:26 | If April 4th and zero sales surely nano could be taken to court for misleading investors. Miracle may happen i suppose but doubt it | firminator1
21/3/2017 11:14 | onething, absolutely correct, its amazing how stories become facts, perhaps Donald trump is behind it all | notimpressed
21/3/2017 11:07 | Selling the plant would not allow the new owner the rights to use Nanoco technology? Either this story is a red herring and does not affect any existing relationship between Dow and Nanoco, or Dow has thrown in the towel, cut and run and sold the building.I'm of a mind this is a red herring. | onething
21/3/2017 10:40 | I read this as being a seperate stand alone plant next to an existing Dow facility. "The start of construction reflects customer demand for Nanoco quantum dots, triggering a milestone payment from Dow to Nanoco. Preparatory work for construction of the plant, at an existing Dow site in Cheonan, South Korea, is well advanced." I do think if Dow had sold off its qd plant that would have been mentioned! | roadster750
21/3/2017 10:21 | That is one that nano investor lady should be able to answer | bagpuss67
21/3/2017 09:43 | dow related, re dow plant, I would have thought nano would have to inform the market of any material change in its relationship with dow | notimpressed |
