It could be that the Stock Exchange are willing to not impose the class tests on the disposal due to anomolous results. I'm not saying that's necessarily likely though, but if they do no EGM will be needed.

Unless of course there is movement on the CS development and the investor(s) wants to get going on that. If he or they are still around he/they have shown remarkable patience and again, he/they must still be around as we have not heard to the contrary. And hopefully interest is multiplying given the opportunity to get in whilst property values are increasing over there/tourist numbers going up & up.

I doubt we will hear anything unless the T&L sale exchanged but if CE is back in Greece I doubt that as well unless the deed has been done already which, needless to say, given the silence, I doubt too.

At the moment one thing I'm not doubting is that the T&L sale is still on simply because we haven't heard to the contrary. Hopefully that reasoned conviction isn't dispelled tomorrow.

My earlier post simply based on the fact that we got an RNS on 2 July, first trading day after the earlier deadline for Hillside expired. Given that we know the new deadline will in effect be unreachable if silence tomorrow, that is why i expect something tomorrow or Monday. And still do

Scotty if CE is really currently in El Greeko, like as of today, then I think that would suggest no BIG announcement tomorrow, as I would imagine he'd want to be in UK if there was a biggie announcement.

So that would suggest no RNS notice for an end of Aug meet Re travel sale.

If that is case then the loan will be dealt with nearer the time by either: a - extending (unlikely I think given end Aug deadline reach so recently); or B - the Co has access to "other funds" to settle the loan.

Meanwhile exchange on sale of T+L gets held back, as part of choreography on completion of some of those Greek negotiations...

But I could be completely wrong!

Microscope, thanks but it was a long time ago and was only trying to prove a point that we all have a "cross to bear"for most on here it's MIN and the BoDs 😂
Although the 14 day period is up tomorrow I'm sure there's others ways to solve the matter ie travel sale as people have spoke about and seeing as CE is back in Greece perhaps that's what he's doing at this very moment,we can live in hope 🙂

Indeed all can we get the 14 days obsession out of our heads please. Tomorrow is not the be all and end all. Read the discussion thread there are quite a few scenarios that can play out. Optrade feel free to educate once more :)

Could be a delayed trade of course. Anyway with utter predictability and true to form Minoan have taken this to the final day possible, for a resolution within Hillside's currently stated timeframe - assuming nothing later today. I expect an RNS tomorrow ('good' news) or Monday which will be too late for the 14 day EGM in August (likely therefore worrying news I anticipate).

As ever with this snail, we shall see. By the way Scotty thoughts with you. I'm sure all right-minded folk will agree! :)

The more time goes on the more I expect that they're playing for it...to get a deal with a major investor for CS that will allow them to keep the T&L business. I've never been wholly convinced that they want to let it go - certainly the time it's taken to offload it suggest that that may be the case.

Among all the depression we feel about lack of clarity, two things i think worth remembering:

One, earlier this year CE restated the 2012 100mil euro(?) valuation. I don't think he would have brought that up if he didn't think it was possible to be hitting around that or more. Otherwise he would have been highlighting BoD's inability to achieve a previously recognised valuation.

And two, these few lines from interims a few weeks ago: "....As I have explained previously, it is difficult to predict precisely the kind of transactions that are likely to be finalised but it remains true that one or more of the "partners" with whom we are working is likely to make significant financial contributions. The application of those "contributions" insofar as creating the optimum value for shareholders will be foremost in the Board's consideration as to the kind of partnership offer(s) to encourage."

That again to me suggests that the real, being talked about in meetings, valuation, is way above the price you can buy shares at today.

Unfortunately, it's August, the quietest month in the year for the markets.

Jill,

Who knows about the buying yesterday but it is interesting how we on discussion boards obsess about a particular date or scenarios that must play out (I.e. must have travel sale by tomorrow) as in reality there are a number of options open before the end of the month, but yes as you say a courtesy rns tomorrow would be appreciated because of as you say the implied link.

FWIW I think this ''T&L has to be sold before and Crete developments are finalised'' is a red herring. There is no logical reason for it that I can see. Its like saying Nottm. Forest are going to stop spending loads of cash because there is one poor player in the previous squad that no other Team wants. It's inconsequential, why would a small deal prevent a major project. LOB

It's yet another ''excuse'' for them to hide behind imo

Yeah I agree with most of that Scotty. But not sure the loan will have allowed them to be boxed into a corner on share price

Whatever is occurring, I hope they have the courtesy and professionalism to update tomorrow - with a real positive RNS - because of the implied link between meeting/sale/loan repayment.

Dazah, they could of course extend, may have even built into last agreement. But last agreement signed in very recent past, I find hard to imagine they would have locked themselves into a very short time frame - unless they where clear on what was ahead.

Wish they had just spilt the Co and had two listings. Focused management team on both..... But what do I know.

(Think that was a tree shake yesterday....if so did the party that picked up the shares have a idea of what is coming next?)

Jill,I know they didn't want to get anything signed up re CS until the travel sale was completed, now whether that was to do with the CS Investors or MINs bod I don't know, but that would seem to be the best way to go at this point and get the loan paid off and the travel sale would then complete in its own time, but gawd knows why it should have taken this long to complete anyways, the only thing I can come up with is the purchasers are trying to get it a bargain price knowing the loan is imminent.

And anyway a loan extensiin RNS can come any time up to the end of this month. With all the warrants and a nice 10% rate that loan is a gravy train.
