12/9/2023 14:34 | SUP getting hit today as global governments talking about banning disposals vapes. | igoe104
12/9/2023 09:09 | Biden visiting Vietnam the other day is a defining moment i reckon. The country is playing a shrewd game acting as a bridge between east and west. Previously this "bridge" was played by Hong Kong but now is no longer the case. There are countries that also provide a bridge like Singapore for instance but that more service based whereas Vietnam is industrialising. The Vietnam Opportunity fund VOF is a fantastic way to gain exposure imo. Run by Andy Ho. I dont normally do funds but if i were to invest in a fund today i think it would be Vietnam and VOF. | cfro
12/9/2023 07:26 | I hear the arguments about dividends, and do like them. However, I also prefer to Tey to buy low and sell a but higher. The dividends are the nice cherry on top that also provides patience to hold for value to out. That's why I like ITV. I may also look at VOD, but the debt looks high and I'm not sure if the dividend can be sustained. | pinemartin9
11/9/2023 17:48 | I wouldn't be seen dead holding Man U shares lol.. You're probably right though they probably are worth more but there again isn't it just sheer greed? I do think money is ruining football as if it hasn't already. Look at Luton, once a great team but now they will struggle to survive in the Premier. These teams simply cannot compete because they don't have the financial fire-power. | cfro
11/9/2023 17:18 | I think Man United shares might be worth watching. Looks like the glazers believe the shares will be eventually worth 10 billion over the coming decade. They are expecting united to negotiate their own TV rights, plus champions league expanding with having two group stages, plus the possibility of 5th place in the Premiership qualifying from the end of this season. Currently market cap 3.2 billion, lots of potential upside for the patient investor It looks like the glazers have done their due diligence and realise they can get more than the current 6billion offer made.. | igoe104
11/9/2023 16:00 | MPE is a brilliantly run company. One of my larger holdings. Have held it for years and one of my longest held investments. Needs little maintenance. Always pays a high and increasing dividend. I wouldnt really describe the results are going through a sticky patch. Far from it. PO prices are down on last year but up on five or ten years. They have a growing estate and young crop with more mills so production will continue to rise.. | cfro
11/9/2023 15:59 | Possible offer for DX group incoming. | igoe104
11/9/2023 15:45 | I think I would like to hold MPE one day, going though a sticky at the moment, but I'm sure they will bonuce back.. | igoe104
10/9/2023 09:35 | You also have to take into consideration that going nowhere for a few years is decidedly better than going down for a few years. To my mind, and i blame these Twitter traders, they've got it all wrong, but everyone nowadays looks to buy a share for capital gains when in actual fact you really should be looking at dividend yields first and foremost and what the company pays in real money. The psychology of investors is just wrong everyone is out for a quick buck.. | cfro
10/9/2023 09:27 | I like to think of it like this: if you hold for say five years, and the share price ends up at exactly the same price at the end of that period as at the start. You have taken 8% a year in dividend income. Assuming no compounding nor increases in the dividend you have made a gain of 40%... | cfro
10/9/2023 08:46 | Isn't that the case for most companies over the last couple of years, the share price has gone nowhere. I think every portfolio needs too have some boring big dividend payers, Companies like AV and CSN will always be around unless they get taken over. My portfolio has Big FTSE 100 companies like GSK, And also small micro companies like TGP, I like a mixture.. | igoe104
09/9/2023 23:03 | I'm not sure about CSN. Like the dividend but share price seems to have gone nowhere. Ots nit charted on my screens of late. That said I'm still 25% cash so struggling with other options! | pinemartin9
09/9/2023 17:39 | Graham neary interview. | igoe104
08/9/2023 09:55 | 21st September, CSN are doing a results presentation. At 9.30. Via brrmedia. Just just have to sign up for it.. | igoe104
08/9/2023 09:16 | You'll be pleased then, 'cause everything always go up when he buys. Thats what he claims anyway Lol.. | cfro
07/9/2023 19:20 | No pants has just brought some VLX my (biggest holding) and some CTO another one of my bigger holdings. I might join him tonight, I feel hot and bothered I might sleep commando tonight. He also purchased a Battle bus favourite, MSI which i like, but don't hold... | igoe104
07/9/2023 18:01 | Strange buy trade for ANP 14.5k worth at nearly £2.46 way above the mid-price. Either not alot of stock around and the buyer desperate to buy or a mistake... | igoe104
07/9/2023 17:41 | Stress free stock CSN and guarantee 8% plus..and a sensible run business which doesn't stretch itself, just keeps acquiring bolt-on acquisitions... | igoe104
07/9/2023 16:10 | I've bought CSN with my SKG cash igoe104, you'll be pleased to know.. I see ANP jumped up 7%.. | cfro
07/9/2023 13:26 | PHP is another in that sector on my watchlist. | cfro
07/9/2023 12:22 | Another company I like is SPI, I like the private hospital sector, certainly has future tail winds.. | igoe104
07/9/2023 11:52 | Thats my thinking going forward, less risky small caps and solid established companies, with good track record. Like DGE and REL.. | igoe104
07/9/2023 11:48 | The worry with ULVR, is the Russian subsidiary, will the Russians claim it back. CSN solid as a rock 8% yield. (Would be my choice. Complete sleep at night stock) But their are some cracking undervalued reits as well.. | igoe104
07/9/2023 11:46 | You must be a mind-reader Lol.. Top of my list is CSN and TSCO plus ULVR.. I'll tell ya the reason because i want something defensive in nature which is why i chose SKG in the first place. Some of these small-caps like Mpac are all very well and good but they frequently warn.. Edit - very keen on adding a REIT too.. | cfro
07/9/2023 11:41 | Lots of shares to pick from CSN, TSCO, Bbox .are three solid companies id recommended.. One company I've always had a eye on is Mpac, they are having a bad day... | igoe104 |
