Just purchased just over 21000 shares, I originally purchased these in the 70s and 80s but because of covid they suffered badly as contracts were delayed. Now they have big funding, and lots of large global contracts they will hopefully recover. 🤞 As lots of wind farms projects are scheduled over the coming decade...

Could be a good entry point. Looks an interesting company. Just looking at the major shareholders and there is a long list of names..

I think is the usa there is more of a appetite for risk, thats why their indexes are more highly rated...

With the UK markets now so depressed i see the total valuation of the ftse350 is $2.8tn. In the US Apple is valued at $3tn.

Now, something is wrong here. Either Apple is stupidly over-valued or the UK markets are stupidly under-valued..

Are you happy with the header igoe104?

Great to see CTO in with a chance of winning decent sized contracts. A brilliant company.

The sector itself however needs keeping an eye on. HS2 is being delayed and many other government work being put on hold. The housing market is seizing up. Record numbers of contractors have gone bust.

It's shaping up to being a tough winter for the sector.

Encouraging update from my suffering cyber security small cap SWG. Hopefully it will change the momentum of the share price. They currently have over 4 million cash, but only have a market cap of 9 million, and they are profitable..

Nice framework announced for CTO.

TClarke wins place on key £545m Public Sector framework

TClarke has been selected as an engineering services provider on the 4-year Pagabo Framework that supplies UK Public Sector Bodies across the country from education and research to the NHS, emergency services, councils and housing associations.

This is a great article, which shows long-term investing is the best way to invest.

I think we may well share one or two investments pugugly, you are more than welcome to contribute here..

Great idea - If one can select the growth stocks before they have started to move up and sell before they have fallen back too far.

Great growth stocks can usually still be bought along the way, you dont have to get in right at the bottom. They also should not ever pull-back too far.
Hopefully these stocks will be highlighted and talked about here going forwards..

Great idea - cfro and igoe104. ~Thanks for setting up. I have found the comments by Bessembinder a very salutary check when getting over enthusiastic on a stock and trust you will not mind me posting on the thread.

Trust you and those who visit will find the extract and link below of use in their planning and stock selection.

Trust all who use this great idea thread will prosper and get their selection and timing more often right than wrong. Remember you can only lose 100% (unless geared - which I do not advise) but can 10 bag - plus plus.

""Research by Arizona State University professor Hendrik Bessembinder shows that more than half of the $55.1tn in net wealth generated by the US equity market between 1926 and 2022 came from the performance of fewer than 0.3 per cent of the market’s stocks, with the other half of this net wealth coming from the next best 3.1 per cent of stocks. Moreover, almost three-fifths of stocks actually destroyed wealth over the period. In quant-speak, the distribution of compound stock returns has been very positively skewed.(Short extract from the FT). Research goes on to show applies to most other countries.

Anything else you want to add in the header igoe104, just say..

I'll kick-off by mentioning a favourite of both igoe104 and i - Anpario ANP. We've both been holders for a few years..

Admittedly the company has not been performing well this past couple of years with the share price well down from previous highs but this news is now both relevant and very, very important to the company:

A rebellion by shareholders looks underway and hence the possible growth opportunity for ANP is absolutely massive..

Just looked at some financials for Proxama from Docs on Longships website. Revenues have gone from GBP 256k in 2010, to 636k in 2011, to 1.4mn in 2012. net losses have increased in last three years and now stand at GBP 1.5mn for 2012. It's valued at GBP 18mn on IPO. Is it just me or does that look like a hefty valuation ? Was thinking of jumping in but not sure any more.Any thoughts ?

Yes difficult to value at the moment and to know what is a reasonable share price. In a way it's in a similar market to MONI.

PROX don't seem to have trading/profit figures on their website, thus hard to know how to value it. They make much of the big names they deal with but no idea of monetary value involved, although the number of employee's indicates they are busy doing something and suggests about £5 million a year to feed the beast?

This seems to be a dead board. I notice that the EGM for a reverse takeover of a go go mobile telephone application company is this Thursday. Perhaps this board will come back to life.

LOL, are you trying to get out of your LONG position by telling porkies ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

LONG don't own the shares in PRAE.

They gave them away to shareholders on the list last month, you missed out son.

They had cash of what you say but they bought PRAE shares with it and then handed them to shareholders.

LONG have £500k in cash, that is your lot : )

Keep telling porkies but you aint getting anyone trapped in here alongside you so you can try and get out out.

Just set a fill or kill for 1p, it will maybe get taken lol
