How pathetic, to come up with a different solution after 2 years of negotiation.
This is desperate stuff.
Davies and Raab tried to get tough, but they were put in their place.

What a mess, France, Germany, Italy are in trouble themselves.
We in the uk depend upon a healthy EU. our biggest trading partner.
I know, don't say it again, 'there are glorious opportunities for trade with Tonga, Peru and Lapland.'

A snippet from the wireless this am.

Amber Rudderless has been on, whispering Norway, and we all know she is Treeza's bestest friend.

Seems to back up polars #238990.

Have my finger hovering over the buy button to add to my holding . But I have two fears.First , where's the bottom? Anyone like to call it?Secondly , The News that decides it's direction is likely to come out when the market is closed.Assuming it's a NO vote is the news already factored in to the sp? Or is 45p a possible ?

Even if May bottles it following aides feedback and pulls the vote, she'll still have to go because her credibility will be completely blown. Al least if she loses the vote, they can spin the line 'we gave it our best shot' before resigning. Not true but saves some face. Get her out, Boris for PM, LEAVE and WTO.

Excerpt from the SUN:

In an interview with The Times, Ms Rudd said membership of the European Economic Area (EEA) “seems plausible as an alternative, for the country but where MPs are too”.

Her intervention comes after a Cabinet war erupted over whether the PM should press ahead with a doomed Commons vote to approve her deal on Tuesday, which 100 Tory MPs already oppose.

It has emerged that Mrs May has told No10 aides she will make a final decision on whether to have the showdown on Monday after a final “stocktakeR21; once MPs are back from their constituencies.
unquote

If true, May and No.10 have simply been lying this week, to keep on saying that the vote will go ahead on Tuesday. These people make me sick - they shouldn't be allowed anywhere near Westminster/Whitehall.

That risk is far too risky long term for children and grandchildren. 39 billion now and untold billions later.

Project Fear is indeed EUSSR and its sores and begging bowls

JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) are Britains biggest car manufacturer.
Their owners have invested millions in the uk.
they have done a detailed study and estimate that WTO will cost them billions.
and fear Brexit.

Simon (Lord) Wolfson who runs Next was on question time a while back.
The politicians were talking about Brexit and WTO.
Wolfson explained that his company used WTO every day and tried to explain their limitations to the ignorant.

Why do people on this thread bandy words like WTO, or Canada plus, or Norway and yet they haven't a clue.

What we have now works, why take the risk.

goldfinger.

It's hard to get a handle on your 401k as I don't know the start date or level of investment.

But if you held through most of the O'Bammy years, you are already so far in the hole you will never get out.

Stop blaming it on the most recent messenger, it's the system that's wrong. (same here btw)

Maybe they will need to start taking Viagra if they're going to keep it up till the end of March.

maxk...I trade within the fund and I have made some reckless investments thinking that Trump was a business guru, very bad mistake. Last year my 401k looked healthy, good rises, Trumpism looking all very bullish. This year, down, down, crazy tariffs, imbecilic behaviour from our leader.

The UK can have Trump, bring back Obama, at least we had peace of mind.

Trump would deal with Europe just like he is being played by China, he would probably go to war with Brussels if he didn't get his own way, he hates Europe, he probably hates the World. He will never do a second term!

China and Russia now know that Trump is full of BS.

How much patriotic nonsense about Brexit, people crave a freedom we never had.

Harold McMillan was shattered when he begged for the near bankrupt UK to be let into the original much smaller common market. De Gaulle vetoed us.

Keynes had the degrading task of begging the USA for money after the end of the war, they baled us out. We were bankrupt.

We invaded Egypt to take back 'our' Suez Canal and President Eisenhower was so angry he ordered us to withdraw and the PM Eden had to resign.

The IMF were called in by a labour government to bale us out with loan and they made us cut Government spending and close hospital wards.

Brexiteers have a sentimental and false romantic image of our past.

No one seems to fear poverty, unemployment and financial hardship anymore.
We have had soft for too long.

Millions of new cars, Sky tv, smartphones, foreign holidays, eating out, house ownership.
We will not be so flippant when it actually happens, especially if it effects you personally or your families.

k38 - I think that it is symptomatic of a general malaise. The low interest rates have tried to keep the ball in the air. At some time it will come crashing down irrespective of the politics. In a way the last years have hidden the problems that I believe are on the way. Same problems with many countries.

True k38. Easy to get caught out. In London today I would probably have something small being practical. My rare visits to the UK I use cruise control all the time for that reason.

Alf I know.. when I go holidays and that is every year for a month or two, I rent expensive cars and enjoy the speed and the power of the engine. But here, it's a different story, I can't effort losing my linsence.
