04/4/2024 19:51 | Everything rises from the dead at Easter - even Lloy. If Rishi wasnt a Hindu or whatever he says he is he would have known this and had a snap election. | scruff1
04/4/2024 19:49 | If you ignore the golden cross and just look at the chart in December, its obvious there’s been a significant change for the better that isn’t just a spike in the same pattern as all the previous ones. Its just that giving it a name adds to the pseudo-science. The question is where is it going and why ? | yump
04/4/2024 19:37 | With a rising share price and the possibility of interest rate cuts, provided they continue to increase the dividend this will start to look a lot more attractive. My last purchase at just over 40p is going nicely. My overall average of 61p still some way off though. | freddie01
04/4/2024 19:24 | @ carping Previous buyback schemes didn’t seem to have the desired affect on the share price, despite the fundamentals changing in relation to the number of shares. However, this time I think the trading environment is very different. Confidence has returned to the British banking sector with some institutions increasing their holdings by an average of 20%. The NAV to MC is about 10b so still very much undervalued and imo the ‘normalityR Again, just my opinion the combination of the above and the buying of it’s own shares is pushing the share price towards a level reflecting the fundamentals. Broker upgrades are also helping support investor confidence. This time round the shares are in stickier hands now and those shares being offered to the market are not being sold at a discount. Another thing of note is the current yield which is expected to increase over the next couple of years. | leas1
04/4/2024 18:43 | Anyone think the buyback is helping?? Just reading across the boards over time and lots of folk dislike them? Might be helping here and didn't hurt BAE's share price | carpingtris

04/4/2024 18:06 | "What happens at 9K?" Oh, the grand old Duke of York He had nine thousand men He marched them up to the top of the hill And he marched them down again And when they were up, they were up And when they were down, they were down And when they were only half-way up They were neither up nor down | hardup1

04/4/2024 17:56 | At least the FTSE is looking at the all time high - which I have as 8014.31 on 20/02/23. There seems to be plenty of positives for the likes of LLOY in the mix currently and for the first time in a decade, I'm thinking of adding here. Usual caveats - macro economics, armageddon etc apart. | skinny
