Much of parliament seems to be at war with The Great Silent Majority.A General Election would be the sensible way forward.NI is part of The British Family of nations. This is a ROTTEN PARLIAMENT. Please GO.' ?KennethPosted October 21, 2019 at 8:57 pm | PermalinkRemainers are now occupying Parliament, much of the media and much of the legal establishment. It seems that all administrative and legal avenues are being closed off by the anti-democrats and the main propaganda transmitters are controlled by remain mass media.I have friends who have never demonstrated but who are now ready to march. If we don't leave the eu very soon I do wonder if the silent majority will try to find a way of wresting power from a vote-shy Parliament.'

Brian TomkinsonPosted October 22, 2019 at 7:52 am | PermalinkWe were asked by UK Parliament to decide if we should remain in or leave the EU. We voted on 23rd June 2016 to leave. We are disgusted that our democratic decision has not been implemented after over 3 years. This Parliament has a majority of MPs who voted to remain and have done all they can to overturn the decision. The sooner they are gone the better. We are determined to be an independent, self-governing country & we will.

According to an American University study, found by the blogger MacAlba, Scotland brought in just under $1,000,000,000,000, in in overseas trade (foreign currency gross earnings) since 2000.

$61,000,000,000 per year is erased from the Scottish trade income figures, by London, in an attempt to show a healthier trade status for the UK as a whole.

But Scotland generates 23% of the trade, but with only 8% of the population and only gets 8% of trade credited as ours.

Hi GoldpigUK,
Respectfully agree to differ.
On your last point, PM already had a good case for refusing indyref.2 and agree it has just got stronger. Counter intuitive somehow that going forward the Scots would have more confidence being within an EU, static at best, rather than a prosperous UK.

Hi Cheshire pete,

I make no bones about the fact that I am very pro our membership of the EU. Parliament has failed to do the right thing. It should have removed the Prime Minister and had a short term Prime Minister when it had the chance.

Sadly this did not happen and now Boris Johnson has started to get the upper hand and close off routes to stopping Brexit. There is nothing I can do about that. At least if a "Peoples Vote" on Brexit is avoided a future Prime Minister has a strong case for refusing to grant Scotland a Second Vote on leaving the UK. (I don't think the SNP have woken up to that!)

Boris new choices after winning the vote. Leave without a deal, or leave with this deal without asking parliament anymore.
