I am an ex Labour voter, Corbyn is a disgrace, McDonnell is the puppet master and Starmer is the Marxist with his eye on being leader at any cost. They will not get my vote.

Swinson is a typical flip flopper, she has been for Brexit and now for Remain, just like when she promised that there would be no Uni fees under the Lib Dems, Swinson cannot be trusted.

I don't like Johnson, but he seems to have worked hard for a deal, stands up for the country and looks head and shoulders above the opposition. Although I voted Remain, yesterday watching that mob and seeing how a Parliament of remainers scuppered getting this thing done and dusted, I am now firmly for leaving.

Further Brexit blow for Boris Johnson as Labour plots second referendum amendment

Tim Shipman, Political Editor | Peter Conradi, Brussels | Steven Swinford, The Times
October 20 2019, 12:00pm,
The Sunday Times

Labour has announced that it plans to hijack Boris Johnson’s Brexit deal next week by whipping MPs to support amendments for a second referendum and customs union with the EU.

Sir Keir Starmer, the shadow Brexit secretary, said that Labour backs an amendment demanding a confirmatory vote on any deal, which is expected to be tabled by backbenchers.

He also made a public appeal to the DUP — which until last week propped up the government — to back an amendment to keep Britain in a customs union with the EU.

Johnson has committed to leaving the customs union so Britain can strike new trade deals with the European Union. He has just eight days to get his deal through parliament before an EU summit…

"He fooled many people with his bus adverts, I see he’s still fooling the same ones"

We're certainly paying that amount now, net, not to mention the no-so-hidden costs of membership.

Check out what we're paying now; don't take my word for it.

PO - "I really don't think there was any great plan behind this non signing stuff."

I agree, he was just not signing a letter that he didn't agree with and had been forced to sign.

Only Alps and Minnie would sign a letter that they didn't agree with.

'The Brexit Party leader dismisses the latest proposed deal for leaving the EU and thinks the country would be better off holding a general election.'Sky newsThere could be a lot of truth in that. The parliament is certainly impotent and some have gone to sleep there. Let the People pass judgement.

Re boris the hero?

I expect whatever happens, in the coming months we'll soon find out whether the average bod thinks boris is a hero in the next ge.

Revenge will be sweet, once he's back with a massive majority.

Of course M2 and his like would do a far better job. (give it 10 years or so and a few law suits) perhaps he could march down the mall hand in hand with that old pr1ck from star trek stewart who, incidentally doesn't even live in the uk lol. Couldn't make it up.

Indeed Pierre. If the evil old bag had actually fought for British interests, and produced a deal like Boris's in the time he produced his, we need never have had the 2017 election or a lot of other monstrous things.

Graham, well i once sent an acknowledgement of something unsigned, because i didn't like what had gone before. I knew it made no difference and i didn't think i was being childish at all.

I really don't think there was any great plan behind this non signing stuff. Any quotes from cummings/boris indicating this great plan, or is it just something bb bloggers came up with?

Id say Boris is a hero whether he ultimately wins or loses.

If we leave, then no one can doubt his abilities to fight for democracy.

If he fails, I expect the task was always unacheivable whoever attempted it. Just too many 'public servants' and elected 'representatives' who don't give a toss about democracy. A hero for trying to the best of his abilities (unlike May for example).
