20/10/2019 21:03 | Jonathan Clark 19 Oct 2019 7:52PMLiam, one of the objections I have heard to Boris Johnson`s "deal" (in fact it will be an International Treaty) is that we will still be subject to E.U laws with regard to state aid. Is this not true ? Will we be able to aid any of our own industries after Johnson`s deal/Treaty is signed and ratified , or not ? The Northern Ireland border issue has received attention, but the rest of May`s surrender deal has not been changed and remains the same, does it not ? Please reply.Nick Wright 20 Oct 2019 9:11AM@Jonathan Clark You're right. It's a surrender deal when Theresa May proposes it and a diplomatic triumph of tough speaking when Boris Johnson does. | ![]() xxxxxy

20/10/2019 18:25 | Have just had a look at the 3 letters lol. Imagine being on the receiving end. Letter 1: photocopied and unsigned only 2 paragraphs long dull and uninteresting nearly nodded off after 1st para. Letter 2: covering formal letter and signed by Sir Tim Barrow. Letter 3: personal letter from Boris warm in tone and making overtures to Tusk trying to build bridges. Couldn't be more contrasting from letter 1. We'll see how they react. | ![]() cheshire pete
