14/6/2019 09:42 | "or that the policies of the right constituted violence in themselves." I can see their point, and to some extent agree. IF, like Farage, you promote a movement which could seriously damage the futures of many then what do you expect? Ice creams are nothing. He is lucky it wasn't a guy with a hand gun. | ![]() minerve 2

14/6/2019 07:58 | 'Another person who could also do with paying a bit more attention to fiscal responsibility is outgoing Prime Minister Theresa May, who decided to slap the country with a trillion pound bill in order to make her own vanity pledge on climate change yesterday without even doing a formal cost analysis first. If anything, binding the hands of her successor with a staggeringly expensive and uncosted policy is more irresponsible than her potential successors making pledges that they probably won’t keep anyway…' | ![]() xxxxxy
13/6/2019 23:21 | "The left have been tending more and more to violence in recent years, both here and in America." It's only pain and suffering in a different form. One is delivered legally by the far right, the other illegal by the far left. Morally there probably is little to choose between the two! ;) | ![]() minerve 2

I'm unsure, as I indicated at the start. But I ask you this, Shy Tott: do you think she would lose any sleep if Farage were the subject of an acid attack? I don't. The left have been tending more and more to violence in recent years, both here and in America. | ![]() grahamite2

13/6/2019 19:27 | "Why isn't anyone saying a no deal will be just as bad for Europe" Are you sure? That must explain why GBP is weakening and € strengthening. Perhaps you use an Australian version of Excel? ;) -------------------- Alp..I am very aware of the pound euro exchange rates from June 2016. Every morning on Radio 4 while half asleep I have constantly listened to a Euro being worth 88p, it goes up and down a penny but it hardly changes. Only you as an FX trader possibly trades on the teenies. OK if you are placing million Pound or Euro trades. I firmly believe it is the Euro that will be hit as time moves on. One morning maybe soon, I will be half asleep and the news will come, the Euro slides!!. IMO..the solids are going to hit the revolving blades and when they do it will be the European banks who will be caught bathing nude when the tide goes out. Contagion, the Euro isn't what it seems. Mark my word. | ![]() jacko07

13/6/2019 19:12 | Beand was stupid rather than intentionally encouraging violence imv. I like her usually, but she sometimes goes over the top to try to shock as she did in this case. Obviously she didn't intend to incite violence, but neither was it funny at all after recent events (and it's recent events which push this over the line imv). Maybe a slapped wrist is appropriate to establish the line between free speech and possibly encouraging, unintentionally, some weak cretins to act out her words. No idea why it's Brand only - surely the decision maker who thought it was ok to broadcast should also be investigated (and a case for getting kicked out the beeb for poor judgement whatever the police/cps decide). | ![]() shy tott
13/6/2019 18:54 | They copied his martial music and drumming at the beginning of every news broadcast. We must never forget that a very, very sizeable part of the establishment were very pro German during and before the War. Remainers? I'll leave you to work that one out. | ![]() mr.elbee

13/6/2019 18:51 | It is clearly "incitement" Graham, because she said ,after stating her preference for battery acid over milk shakes...that milk shakes were "pathetic"...... So clearly something stronger should be used. Some left wing loonies will definitely take it that way. It is clearly a hate crime[anyone who feels distress, from such a media outpouring or threat, can approach the Police and they are OBLIGED to investigate.] Well all this rubbish about resources.. Just give her a Caution. The thing that amazes me in all of this is that there has been zero media reference to the spate of acid attacks only a couple of month's ago. None whatever. There was discussion about banning the retail sale of certain acid based products. Now we have a lot of blithering on about"Context"...wel | ![]() mr.elbee
