I think we'll see new lows...

There's lots of red flags which could impact stock markets/economy...

UK Covid deaths over 40k, still high infections per week, R number still near 1...
Recent rioting/demonstrations likely to lead to surge in new infections.. incubation period is 2 weeks, so it'll be a fortnight before we know..

US Covid deaths over 120k...

Economy supported by Furloughing, which will end over the next 6 months. Millions could be out of work. Possibly 3m out of work

US unemployment figure may yet surge if there's a 2nd lockdown..

Possible no deal brexit..

Mortgage payment holidays taken by around 2m people... Those payment holidays due to come to an end..

Trump - US Presidential Election later this year - uncertainty over who will win...

US-China - Trade wars... likely to impact any recovery.

China-Taiwan tension - increased military presence nr Taiwan is likely to result in increased US military presence in the area.

China-HK tension - likely to damage HK economy..

China-India tension - increased military presence on border between India and China, 2 nuclear powers...

Boris' dithering over Covid19. Likely to result in loss of confidence in Govn plans and increasingly people ignoring any future lockdown.

Dubai-India-China property market on the edge... If Dubai/Indian/Chinese property market collapses then this could ripple out...

“V” shapers view the huge 38% rally in the S&P 500 as predictive and a solid signal of a quick snapback.

“W” shapers think stocks have gotten ahead of themselves and will re-test lows before recovering.

“U” shapers believe the recovery will be slower, and that stocks will trade sideways until finally breaking out to the upside sometime in 2021.

Virtually no one is predicting new lows, and virtually everyone expects an imminent recovery.

Today’s stock market gains could backfire over the long term, so sell and take a breather, we may not see the lows of March, but it's a shaky market.

Minnie..We go up the 'Fat Duck' regularly, often have the set menu at a discounted £295 a head.

Have to tell you, the Steak & Kidney pud is superb and the chips are a delight. Not so happy about the desserts, but I had a word with Heston and he promised to ditch the Strawberry 'Angel Delight' and get in my favourite 'Butterscotch'.

VACCINE BOOST Coronavirus vaccine given ‘using inhaler could be ready by next month’

THE coronavirus vaccine could be ready to give in the form of an inhaler by next month, it was reported.

Trials of a vaccine being developed by Oxford University are currently ongoing with the initial target of September to be available to the public.

Drug company Astra Zeneca has said it will produce the vaccine light so it’s ready when final approval is given and intends to produce two billion doses thanks to funding from Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates.

The Oxford University team are reportedly “80 per cent confident” the Covid-19 vaccine work in younger people and say the vaccine could be given using a device like an asthma inhaler next month.

The news came in an online lecture for Oxford University's Centre for Personalised Medicine given by team member Professor Adrian Hill, the Daily Mail reports.

He said that clinical trials will end when the vaccine has clearly been found to protect people.

“We are guessing that might be around about August time - it might be before if cases do not decline as quickly as we expect, or be later if we run out of cases,” he said.

The Oxford trial began back in April and began recruiting up to 10,260 adults over 55 and children.

bbalanjones.

I certainly do not agree with you on value of sociology within the Law. It really is a waste of time and money and can be a controlling tool in the wrong hands.

Just look at what the supposed social workers did in Rochdale et al.

BB Watch the rottweiler show?
What a surprise he was on.
When did scientists agree on anything? So what is the point of a committee SAGE which deliberates and concludes a consensus view only for those that did not get their way to be invited on.
This is typical of the left -who never cease to remoan.
Do these people believe these charades do themselves any good?
Phps they do - but having disclosed to the worst Broadcaster on earth - they should resign and disappear.
Not that any of these so called knowalls - ever considered LENR as a power supply -.
Ridiculed trump for taking the malaria drug. Ridicule trump - ridicule the developers of the drug and all those that take it.
You are so selfish - that you never consider - what if i am wrong.

John Redwood loves both the sound of his own spouting and the 'raffish' cut of his own jib.

You sound very similar too....IMHO.

Professor John Edmunds, a member of the government's Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage), has told the BBC's Andrew Marr programme the country should have gone into lockdown earlier, and the delay "cost a lot of lives, unfortunately".

I have time for this guy. Not sure about Valance and Pennywise.

Boris shouldn't do a Trump regarding BLM, peaceful protests are what separates us from the dictatorships and despots.

It isn't the peaceful protesters we should clamp down on, they have a right to protest, it is those who are there to cause problems, those who are there to cause a riot.

That's the problem with marches, far right and far left extremists are never far away.

No Deal is better than a Bad Deal.No Deal is better than any old deal.China is a massive warning about being dishonest with dealings. No Deal could be the Honest Deal.A No Deal could give Respect for Truth. No Deal it is then.A deal with the EUSSR would be delusional. Not too dissimilar with the consideration about China. Dealing with the EUSSR would fail because of deceit by the EUSSR anyway. No Deal it is. The Honest way.
