First big casualty in this market and not the last.

Last I heard Wink were doing about $20 million a year through home depot mainly.

I know there's a $40 million a year company also up for sale, currently doing the rounds of some big companies.

Clocktower... sigh.... Somebody wanted to sell a few shares . a director bought them. No conspiracy. No master plan. I suspect CC have the usual exit plan, get sales, make profit , move the company on to a big buyer for a multiple of their purchase price in 12-36 months but you are free to suggest otherwise.

buggy, I was not saying that is the case just pointing out one that could be negative.

sinkyj, If you take the volume of purchases from a few days after the placing and tried to add momentum and increase volume substantially, it would not amount to a few thousand profit, it could soon add up to around 15% after expenses I guess, and 15% on £1.4m is a cool sum around £200k hardly chicken feed for a few months investment. Not that it is the case,my response was just a passing comment in view of Nar1 post.

There's the sale, 150k @27p That's why the price hasn't moved. I don't think you put in 1.4 million then take out 30k or so for a "quick profit" of a few thousand. From the pricing it just looks like an arranged sale. Ex Employee / large friendly shareholder. Positive news , but also means there is obviously no other great news immediately due as the directors are not un a closed period.

clocktower,

I take the purchase as positive even if it is to allow those that took part in the placing to unload.

It still means that Barry is happy to invest at 28p, no matter where the supply of the stock he is buying came from.

The only thing one must caution Nar1, although being positive - is was that purchase made for around £33k to assist those that supplied the £1.4m to unload the stock for a healthy and quick profit and possibly open the door to further fund raising from the same source at some future but not to distant time. Why did this director not take part in the fund raising at 23p? To be fair, it could be funds have just become available or some other understandable reason.

I am surprised that the stock has not reacted more favourably to this mornings good news but then investors might be more cynical that myself even.

gozo, L2 jumped up before the buy but I expect there might be some arrangement to offload the cash/stock that was raised @23p - nice quick profit if that is the case. Still shows support for the stock.

gozo,

good news that Argos is selling ....I have almost given up that I no longer actively monitor. With the new money they brought in maybe they should pay down some of the money owed to their supplier if that is the root of the issue.

We had a great opportunity to capitalize of our first mover advantage in UK and now we are becoming a small fish in a large pond. Ensure adequate stock is available in al the outlets.

Agree with a lot of that Buggy...as you say we'll have to wait and see.
For what it's worth I don't think the company is going to fail though.

Just noticed that Argos are now selling some of the range....apologies if this is common knowledge but don't remember seeing them selling our range before.

If that was a buy then there must be a heck of a sell order in the background.

I suppose all we can do is wait to see if the new NED makes a difference.

From posts on the Forum they have been struggling to stock their supply chain. I thought that with Megaman on board that stocking issue will be a thing of the past but clearly not.

I am just frustrated that such a product line with good potential is withering due to management ineffectiveness. I suppose if every management gets it right them most companies will succeed rather than fail unfortunately. The norm is however that more startups fail than succeed and the root cause is more to do with poor execution than bad business idea. If this was properly managed we would have cleaned up.

Anyway .. back to sleep for me.

Alternatively, the balance of the shares might have been placed to multiple individuals who own less than 3% each, related to CC and/or CC funds that have different beneficial control.

"The Committed Capital Syndicate, spearheaded by our Advisory Board, is a group of around 100 highly successful entrepreneurs and leading business people. They introduce investment opportunities to Committed Capital, they provide support and guidance to the portfolio companies, and they can co-invest their own money alongside Committed Capital investments"

Maybe the were selling that 13% short before taking the stock at 23p, hence no need for a RNS as the public may have bought it at much higher levels.

Committed Capital took 20%? Sounds a bit like tern and crypto here with the funders guiding the co. going forward. Interesting its IOT again, seems the bandwagon to be on at the mo.

Come to think of it they issued 33% of the company in the fundraising. This Harris guy has 20%?? apparently, ..but who's got the other 13%??. LWRF don't even keep their list of major shareholders up to date. What are they hiding then?? Why can't we know who holds most of the company? Surely they are breaking AIM rules? ML is now the full time CEO. The least they can do is update the shareholder page. What else are they not doing?. Just continued silence from the company.....

Yes I'm reassured that he is heavily invested and will be holding the management to account and if he thinks he can help the company, provide some contacts and open a few doors then great. The products have been out for some time now with not much progress on sales as far as I can see. Certainly not reflective of a multi billion pound sector. At last management will realise this is not a hobby anymore and that they need to produce some results. I'm not convinced the management will deliver and see this as the beginning of a takeover by a large connected shareholder at a knock down price, who can see weak management to take advantage of. Pick up another 10% holding on the cheap and a quick bid at 50p. At today's price, long suffering shareholders would take 100%. I bet John Sinclair will bung his 4.97% to help a takeout, so would only need to find a squeak over 5% to get the company. Going over 30% does trigger a bid. It's either that.. or we'll be waiting forever. In fact the market has not received the news well today. Not good. Sp should of reacted positively.

I can hardly believe I'm having to post this....

Whoppy - the board appointment will have been agreed at the time of the placing...it was only a month ago!

It's very good of you to assume the voice and opinion of everyone reading the thread with the use of your 'we' statement....I'll just mention that I'm personally reassured by the appointment - it's pretty much standard practice.

20% of shares - who owns the rest which were issued on the fundraising?
Glimpsed at his experience - I view it as a good thing. There have been many negative posts about the ability of the management. If so this guy can help despite being just a non exec. He may lead the path to a successful takeover whilst protecting his investment which means he is also protecting our investment.
I'd rather have his presence than nothing.

I hope LWRF are working on something. The company is pretty much dead. The Mayfair guy must be concerned about his investment and hence has come to the board to keep any eye on things. I think we are all concerned.
