"Feel free to put me on filter."

LOL. A bit like using a tank to squash a dead wasp!

I see the chart is indicating that the downtrend remains firmly in place. Target 0p - Last one out switch off the lights. Using your mobile phone of course. ;)

Have a lovely weekend.

@whoppy. I can still see them , in fact the same Homekit reply is given several times to different people. If I'd made them up , I would have done a better job.

You seem quite keen to let everyone know your views however. As I said - arrogant!

Feel free to put me on filter.

Well spotted sinkyj. With the amount of effort being put into promotion by Megaman, expect to see the stream of installations rapidly increase in the coming months. Add Havells to that growing business and the foundations are set to run away internationally. A deal with the US would be the icing on the cake.

Cheers sinky for those bits of news.Hopind 'a few months' is a normal human few months rather than LightwaveRF's defintion of a few months.Hopefully it will work first time rather than the the normal buggy version and lets hope it has a fantastic Apple user interface so we can attract some purchases from Apple consumers. Here's hoping.

Paul Fegan ‏@paul_fegan Oct 20

@ConnectCentral_ has won contracts to install @LightwaveRF heating control in 2 Care Home groups in Wales as part of Connect Central BMS

@paul_fegan @ConnectCentral_ @LightwaveRF I'm hoping this is the start of many more contract wins!

@ConnectCentral_ @LightwaveRF there are quite a few in the pipe line

@paul_fegan @ConnectCentral_ @LightwaveRF that's good to hear. Some massive ones hopefully

Snippet from twitter

@LightwaveRF How is the progress on integration with Apple #HomeKit (and therefore Siri)? I am happy to be a beta tester.

@LightwaveRF ‏@LightwaveRF Oct 20
@david_j_bryant An initial integration will be available in coming months, with further developments rolled out throughout 2016.

Is any of your family disabled like this persons Mum or confined to a wheelchair or bed for example M? I guess you have never been given the responsibility of managing large buildings either like the University project that LWRF undertook.

"My Mum is loyally devoted to an antique analogue television, which she watches with the help of an ancient Freeview box. Unfortunately every now and then the sound from the digibox cuts out, and the only way to restore it is to turn the box off and on again at the mains. Being disabled, my Mum can't reach the switch on her wall socket. This Lightwave product is the solution to her problem.

The kit arrives in a heavy-duty blister pack, containing a Lightwave catalogue, an exceptionally lucid instruction leaflet, three 13 amp sockets and a remote control, the latter already fitted with a coin-type CR2032 lithium battery. Each component bears a sticker confirming that it has been passed by a quality controller.

Installation could hardly be simpler. You plug a socket into the wall; a flashing LED indicates that it has entered its five-second learning mode; and you push one of the three Off buttons on the remote control. The socket is now linked with that particular Off button and the On button next to it. (If you want, all three sockets can be linked to the same pair of buttons.)

The system works via radio rather than infra-red, so there doesn't need to be a clear line of sight between the sockets and the remote. The remote has an LED that flashes to confirm that a button has been properly pressed.

Subjectively, every element of the kit feels well designed and well made".

So your investment case is based on the fact that people use remote controls for their TV sets? LOL.

I'm just going to have go back to the tried and tested.... Open topped jalopy, few Cinzanos, box of Ferrero Rocher and a promise of a look at my laserdisc player. Why change a winning system?

I expect you don't have a remote control for the TV. As of course, you could just get up off the sofa each time you want to change channel, turn the volume up and down or fast forward the ads.

You mean it won't impress, damn!

Yes, there is some way to go with the marketing and operation of smart home products until they are as aspirational as the latest smartphones.

Yeah you're right, remote controls never catch on.
