13/7/2015 08:15 | mg78 - Maybe you need not only to read it again but ask yourself if the order (once the product is deemed suitable) will produce any profit? Turnover is just vanity. Show us the profit! | clocktower
13/7/2015 08:09 | Read the RNS again. Cracking news. That is very quick progress into India. Impressive. | mg78
13/7/2015 07:48 | Only $37,000 - the order is not signed and sealed, the product has to come first - this is the type of RNS designed to help the share price before cash is raised imo. Good Luck if your trading this stock. | clocktower

07/7/2015 14:23 | Nar1 - not just yet, but soon hopefully. Much needed. Masses of distractions away from the mkt, but back on it soon enough, I hope. Cheers. | mg78

02/7/2015 09:31 | Just been trying to find the Lightwave RF products on Littlewood website. Cannot find it with a search or selecting the tabs. Have they stopped selling it already? Plenty of Hive, Belkin etc products on display. | yesrupnel
01/7/2015 22:10 | The link above shows what their heating system controls can do in large buildings-quite impressive. I was in this business for a time and this system beats all the ones i've seen and so easy to use. A lot of kit and a lot of sales in a single system like this and if it takes off could really accelerate the sales at a rapid rate. This sort of system would be installed by electrical companies with BMS knowhow. Some publicity and case study of the Warwick University system will do a lot of good . Just thing of how many buildings this could fit into-offices-schools Lightwave has got the products that is for sure-all they need to do is ramp up the sales. | loobrush
01/7/2015 18:11 | All about your appetite to risk and reward. I have waited this long and will continue to wait.Yes funding raising is likely but if that moves the business forward then I ok will wait for the jam. | nar1
01/7/2015 16:39 | Thanks to everyones input today. Very beneficial. For me - this remains in my very high risk part of my portfolio. The difficulty for me now is whether to crystallize those losses (which will hurt) or hang on for jam tomorrow. It could be a very long wait with further dilution(losses for me) for potentially some sales and jam and profit. | yesrupnel

01/7/2015 16:05 | Yesrupnel, It's not "now", the need has been clear for some time. Look at the cash in the bank at end H1. I've said that for quite some time. Turnover was less than last year. All there to see for those that were looking. The only chance of it not happening is if somebody large throws in some cash in up front. I'll take Sylvania and Apple over Megaman every day of the week but I would think it's with their blessing, and limited to certain geographical areas i.e. India . It's not unusual to have different partners each with exclusivity. I'm quite encouraged because the products were getting old and the market is getting ever more connected and sophisticated in the UK/US, a move to a large developing market is exactly the right thing for one last throw of the dice. The Indian market needs reworks of the simple quality products, LightwaveRF do well, not completely new ideas, perfect. I don't either believe the current products, as I have in front of me, are at all correct for the commercial market. I can give you many modifications that are needed. I assume the company has spotted these also. That will also cost time and money and delay income from that source. All in all, a wakeup call, and probably time to remind yourself that this should be in your maximum risk section of your portfolio and to change the underwear for the next ride. My criticism stands, no strategy just following what comes along, but this time it may be just the right place at the right time. The Indian light electrical market is one of the largest and fastest growing in the world at the moment. | sinkyj
01/7/2015 15:50 | From what I gather megaman is sole distributor in the UK. However the global deal with neonlite is non exclusive and has gone nowhere really | jmf69
01/7/2015 15:42 | sinkyj - a profits warning, a very badly worded RNS (to obscure the real issues?) and now the need to raise capital to make things when they were very poor at production/project management/time scales before Megaman. Also - if its a competitor to Megaman are Megaman going to be upset and pull further co-operation other than the limited distribution they have achieved so far? | yesrupnel
01/7/2015 15:36 | JMF - I agree they could make money on the commercial sector. But again its jam tomorrow. Its difficult to beloieve that they have a superbly sophisticated BMS service after such a short time compared to other BMS suppliers who have been in the market for many years/decades. Also it could be just a niche market - only old building with radiators (as opposed to air con systems) that need to be retrofitted. Lighting BMS has been around for many decades. If they have a long term difficulty in sorting out the heating control app then it does not inspire me with confidence on something much more complex such as a BMS. | yesrupnel
01/7/2015 15:36 | Megaman are minnows compared with Havells / Sylvania, and also competitors. I cannot stress the significance enough. Certainly more than the company has done. As I understand it, the "zero capital model" is funded by Megaman, without the middle man in the deal, the funding is on the company's shoulders, hence the need for capital but the rewards will be greater (more Jam). It always been anticipated by most realists, that there would need to be money raised soon. The key is why. The release can also be read, that there is money needed to modify products for NEW customers for sales after end H2. Trust me , Havells / Sylvania is huge and we also know about Homekit and these will need money for changes to products and for stock. The company cannot find that money in somebody's back pocket. The only surprise to me was the unexpected profit made H1 and the fact that this wasn't made clear in the interims. I would hope there is some clarity brought on the subject by the company very soon. The release left a lot to be desired. | sinkyj
01/7/2015 15:15 | IMO whether the results are better or worse will depend on the success of htTp://lightwaverf.c | jmf69
01/7/2015 15:15 | clock - thats my fear. the usual rule of thumb is that when a profits warning comes out companies present the 'best case scenario' i.e. the least worst set of figures. But what this masks is the real reason for the sudden drop in forecasts - are the contributing factors bad and quite possibly about to get worse over the next few months. First everything was fine on the last RNS with figures, now its bad and history with other companies seems to point to worse to come. There is some jam on the table but as been pointed out then the kit needs to be altered to meet local electrical/plumbing etc. standards, actual sales have got to be made, successful acceptance, distribution etc needs to follow with more sales. Not something that LWRF are that good at. Question - why aren't Megaman handling all of the Indian interest - or is it because its new product development? | yesrupnel
01/7/2015 15:05 | yesrupnel, If you look at what they said on 22.05.15 and the turnaround in this short time, then one can just fear the the results come the year end, as you must expect them to have to go cap in hand for money before then. What cost will that add up to? So I think it is only reasonable to expect worse is to come imo. | clocktower
01/7/2015 14:57 | Today - As a result, with three months to go before year end the company now expects short term revenues to be constrained relative to current market expectations. Revenue and losses for the year to 30 September are now anticipated to be broadly similar to last year. Last years figures for Year until 30 Sept were revenues of £3m with a loss of £300,000 before tax. So do you think we will be expecting the same, better or worse? - last set of results. | yesrupnel |
