Shut up sicko! Everyone knows you're NOT short. Would you have held a short past 42p? From what level? What were you hoping for? To go that last tiny leg down to zero? Seriously, if you did have a short and you didn't cash in at the low forties, you deserve no sympathy.

The reality is that you are a grudge-bearing troll and most likely a disgraced former Kier middle manager who has managed to snag a lower-paying job in a second-rate business much further down the food-chain, hence your perpetual bitterness. Very sad to see someone of your mature years spilling bile onto this obscure chatboard. Very sad. But possibly karmic.

This is what you've been reduced to, from an average sort of career, to a bitter fat old man posting silly pointless messages against your former employer on a free chatboard. You should really put your energy into a more creative, productive activity, especially since you're not good at this one.

Have you read about Greensill and Gupta stdy? Or anybody else?

Or does it just not matter because it's not debt, or maybe not one of your 'relevant issues'?

I wonder if their trade finance supplier was Greensill?

Does not matter anyway. Trade finance is going to get a whole lot more expensive in the aftermath of the Greensill scandal.

Yes Steddy. As a short I am absolutely terrified by £80m unpaid overdue tax and another £500m peak debt.

Oh and KL is just such a steal with all those juicy fixed price JV contracts with lots of housing associations.

And the trade finance is another £125m. What is a few hundred million between friends?

Btw, I see the volume is now low, back to where it was before the recent excitement, but the price holds. It seems as though buyers are holding tight. Not the typical 'weak hands' in this market. Also no shorting. No one dares in case Kier reveal a buy-in for equity and a sale. Thanks for the update 'Forks. It's less about crisp packets and more about seeing the assets and people hard at work. I'm sure you know that. If it really is a buyer, I hope it's someone other than rubber-lip-hands. It'd be nice to see a little competition for KL. That would really shake things up.

Not as funny as watching you stdy.

It's hardly a discourse - a passing comment to one of the ex-holders who is relatively capable of communication (not a high bar given the others on here) and a quick link, and stated myself that it's not the issue.

But yep, jump on it, do anything to distract from the issues here.

Correct, anteater (post 19760 -- I can't really comment on the other one). But masturpig will have to unfilter you to read it.

masturpig, you're hung up on the wrong 'issues' as you put it. But don't worry, I'm not going to trouble your desiccated brain with the relevant issues. You can grope around for those on your own. You wouldn't appreciate my 'help' anyway, and it's fun seeing you try to play the expert with your discourse on 'shorting'. 🤣😂🤣

wallz and zico, failing to deter investors as usual. share price staying stubbornly high, probably because wally has decided to try to bend time to fit his argument. So ambitious!

Why won't those pesky longs give up! So funny.

Do you want to respond to my rebuttal of your attempt to answer my post on the debt and enterprise value here? Or just carry on these painful attempts at distraction, proving that you can't answer? Even though it's 'basic'.

It's no different to being long. It costs you nothing to hold unless you get a margin call (in theory I could get that at around 320 currently). It will only cost me money if I close now, and I am not doing that for my reasons in the last post. This will make me money soon enough, and any investor now will lose and likely have to fork out a load of dosh not to be diluted. Why would I post otherwise? Not long to wait.

wallywoo, I think steadyeddy showed that you are not really short. Btw, if you think that the price has only been lower than today for 8 weeks, there's somethign wrong with your calendar. You started shorting at 50 according to you and that was three months ago alone. Plenty of shares have gone up after a cash raise with investros maintaining value. Easy to pick out some that haven't.

If you can't see the one year past, I dont think anyone should rely on you to predict the future.

stupidgit - if you don't know how shorting works, maybe you should scale back your 'holier than thou' tone on here.

Apparently there's a buyer coming out to site Thursday so we're all on panic stations ffs I'm pretty sure a crisp packet blowing round isn't going to put off a serious buyer I'd be more interested in seeing how there built and quality of finish till I set up my own teams but what would I know about the building game

PE are free to make money any way they like. They are not restricted to only trade at certain times like directors. Mark my words they have a alternative agenda than buying KL.

Let's look at some recent equity raise examples, Sparty. Saga raised £150m in September 20. They had a mkt cap 3x Kiers, in the leisure and finance sectors (both better than construction) but still needed a old owner to come in with a large £100m investment to give it more confidence. The share price went from 15p average to a low of around 8p (1 for 15 share consolidation, 5 for 9 RI). The share price had a mini rally just before the news to 25p.

I believe Kier are at a similar situation but;

1) will probably need at least 2 for 1 RI. IE a lot more.

2) will likely not have a rich old owner to pump in £100m first

3) will be less favourably received since raised money 2.3 years ago

4) even if they do pull it off, will likely have a share price hit 30p or less before it eventually recovers.

And you are confused why I am holding my short?? It's highly likely to give me a good return! This is a best case scenario, I don't think they will be able to pull it off.

imastu; wow, you really are out of touch. 'they pay you for being short' ???!!!Get with the program chum.

wally; shareprice only lower than now for 8 weeks?? Blimey, your lies are getting ridiculous. look at the charts. Apart from two spikes, the shareprice hasn't been this high since july 2020. That's nine months, not 8 weeks.

sparty, my recollection from the dark and distant days of spreadbetting, many many years ago is that they actually pay you to go short.

In the same way that you pay daily interest on the underlying position for margined long bets, it works the other way on margined short bets - with (predictably) a very heavy cut to the provider, i.e. you pay a lot more in interest on longs than you receive on shorts. That said, interest rates are so low nowadays that I doubt you actually receive any financial 'interest'.

Anyway, haven't done it for many years, and will never do margin trades again - the most recent episode with IG and their changes to rules on c1000 shares just demonstrates again that they can change the rules at any time. Not playing that game.

(Any_Eater has been filtered for many months - does anyone actually read what he posts? If so, why?)
