JSE volume was higher than normal yesterday and share ended up though i think that has lots to do with the rand weakening significantly against the major currencies

I would say that shevvers is correct, an end to a delay would be worth announcing. The questions then would be how do they define the end of the delay (the delay was the part arriving later than planned so is the end of the delay when the part arrives?) and when would they choose to announce the end of the delay...they may wait to do it in the quarterly operational update.

Cheer up guys, the stock was due a pullback from 8.6p as the TA indicators had got overheated. It’s now back in the buy zone and the delay has been priced in. It’s Thursday tomorrow so I have added three more tranches after slicing a couple of other stocks (all showing up as sells on here).

JLP seems to have a fixation for releasing news on Thursdays so here’s hoping the uptrend resumes tomorrow.

If a delay is worthy of an RNS then surely the end to that delay is? No-one wants a day to day running commentary on whether this or that bit is working properly but some bits are obviously worth more than others.

Frog, I honestly don't think that JLP would put a photo out of a part that has arrived. It would smack of desperation and until its fitted and the system is working to the expected capacity (or thereabouts) it would mean sweet fa. In fact if they were sitting round cracking open the fizz and announcing to the market just because they had got a part to arrive I'd be heading for the door.

frog, they explained in a past podcast about their trip to Africa. I think they said they messed up, not realising it was a bank holiday the day they planned their visit or ran out of time. I suggest you check the podcast. Certainly wasn't because they were put off, that's rubbish!

coinbase, A.T. is a high risk share according to the ADVFN financials eg. Last year made a huge financial net loss of £43.07m, worst in at least five years. Total revenue lowest too. They only have cash in the bank due to a fund raise. Well done in making a profit, but it's only a profit after you sell. Remember shares can go down as quickly as they rose.

I prefer putting my money into Jubilee which has a growing net revenue and will very soon be increasing that a lot with its copper production. I don't need to watch the share everyday unlike the company you mentioned. Good luck!

The fact is SB, the Roan upgrade has been delayed repeatedly and the update in mid April Leon is quoted as saying end of May. That's a deadline and if it is missed should be RNSd. What about that is not a fact?

Frog, I think the board have improved for some of the reasons that you have quoted recently. We used to get 6m ops updates, they were asked for 3m ops updates and started doing them. They even gave dates for the 3m updates...and were early on some occasions! I find some smaller cap companies do too many updates. "The parts arrived".....then..."now we've fitted it"...then..."ooh, its running but not very well yet". Some of that approach comes across as a bit desperate and, as you know, my view is that level of detail is effectively meaningless.

It's not a drama sb and if it is it's one where Leon has written the script, directed it and played the main part. If we are not going to have so much speculation he should not make what sounds like commitments. If he is prepared to comment on something being up and running by (around) a certain date he should be prepared to comment when the date has arrived. He only has to include a few simple words into his pronouncements like, roughly, around, about, or say we can't be certain and the problem goes away unless the date is wildly over run.

The "deadline" as you keep calling it, as though it were a matter of life and death, was for the plant to be up and running... not for an announcement to be made. The issue could only ever be a delay ... there is not the faintest iota of a chance of it being a failure given they have expanded Chrome production using the same methodology by nearly 1 million tonnes in the last 3 years. Creating a drama out of it is rather hysterical.
