12/8/2024 11:59 | Looking forward, he said: “Summer 2024 on sale seat capacity is currently 12.3% higher than summer 2023 at 17.16 million seats. | scaff55
11/8/2024 14:25 | Big development at Leeds will open up long routes | castleford tiger
10/8/2024 20:27 | Aye the snag is the right to work in the EU, because there would be plenty who take the chance to move out there. How is it ryanair get away with having so many EI and 9H registered aircraft in the UK? | trying2trade
10/8/2024 11:36 | They largely closed down their existing European bases at Palma/Alicante/Tener | tp6
09/8/2024 09:28 | Heard yesterday they wanted to expand at Newcastle but the airport doesn't have the parking for the aircraft overnight. Adds weight to the thought a European base may have big benefits. Palma being the biggest destination would make sense. | trying2trade
08/8/2024 07:46 | 103 active flights right now | castleford tiger
06/8/2024 13:53 | Pound vs dollar has improved also. Lots of their aircraft related spend, fuel/spares/support will be in dollars so a little positive there. | tp6
06/8/2024 13:20 | Oil is now down to the lows of 2024, last seen at the start of january. Surprisingly the recent finals said nothing of hedging, (nor what % fuel is of total costs), but the 24/4 trading update said that the summer was 90% hedged and the whole year was 80% hedged. Presumably a low fuel price will boost profits for the unhedged amount, (as well as offering opportunities for future hedging) | cb7
05/8/2024 07:17 | Bloodbath incoming | trying2trade
01/8/2024 10:23 | >>CT J2 increasingly selling just cheap flights - half price of EZJ | toffeeman
01/8/2024 09:22 | I'd be keen to know about which routes wizz have taken those grounded aircraft off. Hoping it's all eastern Europe and next summer they won't be flooding the UK market with cheap flights. | trying2trade
01/8/2024 08:56 | battling with ryan on cheap flights. Thank the lord we are in the holiday business tiger | castleford tiger
01/8/2024 07:08 | Q1 TU Wizz is down 15% on opening this morning. Period-end fleet size 218 vs 182 ly GTF engine inspections: 46 aircraft grounded at the end of June 2024 €39m in one-off wet lease costs contracted to protect routes during the GTF engine-related groundings. Is that a lot of spare capacity to become available once the GTF issues are resolved? What is the timescale for GTF? | darrin1471
30/7/2024 21:19 | Steady climb captain | castleford tiger
29/7/2024 10:19 | Convertible note up for repayment or exercised at 17+ quid in 2 years. I was worries at the effects of depreciation and cost of funds for such a big purchase but at 40 mil a plane not so bad | snorkelparker
29/7/2024 10:11 | CT, had no idea how much a plane cost, 90 mil list..Happy if 40m or close to that..they are currently buying them with cash right? seems to read like that in announcements. wonder how long can keep buying outright but makes sense ..then have a huge collateral to borrow against latter if required. assuming something doesn't happen to the aviation industry | snorkelparker
29/7/2024 08:41 | HSBC raises Jet2 price target to 2,020 (1,980) pence - 'buy' | smartmoney100
29/7/2024 07:50 | I think we paid about 40 for each but that’s guess work. The cash just moves to the asset that increases earnings and the cash pile grows with profits / less dividends paid. Getting over 100 m a year interest at the moment. Back to £14 | castleford tiger
29/7/2024 07:40 | List price of a new A321N is around £100m, but substantial reductions for large orders. The last final results showed that £408m went to airbus in final balance payments and new deposits, whilst 6 aircraft were delivered in the period. | cb7
29/7/2024 07:01 | CT. How much of the own cash will go on the new planes? | darrin1471
26/7/2024 14:50 | i never let market "noise" put me off what i invest in. Jet2 for years suffered because we were based "up north" and nobody could understand us. The shares fell to 16p old money before they issued lots more. £32,000 invested then would be worth £2.75m today. Plus a few dividends along the way that were worth than the original stake. This should be valued at £6b today. Thats 8x earnings less own cash. Thats about 26/27 pounds a share. It will get there. So daily movements and background make no difference | castleford tiger
26/7/2024 11:44 | I certainly think with the positive update the day..Plus.. the sentiment turnaround that we have seen over the last 2 days.. That the belief is coming back into this share.. | weemonkey
26/7/2024 07:43 | Sounds like an air traffic issue. Everyone gets stung by them in summer, it's just about how much redundancy or flexibility is built into the programme. Nobody can avoid it, it's how you mitigate against what is almost a certainty. | trying2trade
26/7/2024 06:00 | When we last flew home with EZJ in May, we were just over 2 hours late. It was explained to us over the tannoy on the plane that due to capacity constraints that day, EZJ were basically doing the same all over Europe. In other words, screwing all its customers but not by quite enough to suffer fines on any flights | shanklin |
