The last Jet2 update on the 11 July was reasonably good and whilst they are in a similar space as Ryan air there are big differences.....

Returned home from a trip abroad this week and there was a delay but Jet2 staff dealt with it very well and eventually got us home slightly earlier than we had feared. I am always impressed with the staff whenever I fly with Jet2. Happy and good staff a sign of a good company. Do wish we would push on through £15.

Worth checking the disruption back to the UK from Spain. Heard those airports owners are having issues. The Spanish are also woefully under-resourced in their airports.

Just had a look at this mornings departures from around the UK and things look normal. There is the odd 2 hour delay from EMA, but suspect nothing to do with this computer glitch, as everything else is ok. So this mornings markdown is unwarranted.

legg96 I make the p/e just 7.67 @1450p based on 189p eps.
Have the brokers upped their lowly estimates for this year? Just a very conservative 10% rise will mean around 210p eps, so the share price will need to rise about 50% to get to a meagre p/e of 10.

I see on Monday RBC Capital Markets recommended Jet2 with an Outperform and an increased 2000p target (their previous target was 1950p):

This is a growth stock that is still extremely cheap with a P/E of around 9. Should reach £20 before year end. Meeson will not be selling since this is an Aim stock and not subject to HIT.

Of course you do Angus. I could point to people who’ve moved to Scotland because of free uni education, lower council tax, free personal care, free prescriptions etc

I can’t really but like you l will just pretend l can.

People don’t up sticks for a percentage point or two in income tax when there are so many other benefits, like quality of life :-)

I'm sure Meeson has been selling off market but he still has to report reduced holdings so the share price still takes a hit.nothing wrong with taking profits...

I see Canaccord Genuity who tipped Jet2 last week as a buy, are stating the rise since their tip as 8.09 percent.

I could provide you with lots of examples. I know many people who have moved from Scotland to England to escape paying 45% income tax. This is prior to Starmer.
