What interest do they earn on deposits I wonder.

They're also stuck waiting on Max deliveries, Mr O'Leary will be ensuring he is top of that list.

don't forget that it's great to have advance deposits but only a small portion is profit. the ring fencing is great business practice. Tui uses it to pay debt and operating expenses making it vulnerable to shocks and downturns..

The net cash position doesn't take into account the benefit of customer cash/'float' and the nearly free financing of the well timed convert debt (another 2y of free financing)

Traffic data to a website is just one of many things that go into revenue/profit. Pricing/advertising/multichannel choice/changing clients behavior online etc etc. It happens to be one of the easiest available.

Jet2 trades at p/e ex cash of 4x . 90 percent of revenue (and earnings given the earnings mix has similar margins) is a mini asset light BKNG biz.

Literally the best chosen fleet in world (current aircraft the highest revalued model i.e. 737NG and on order we have a pre inflation scaled order of the most preferred A320NEO family , the engine the most preferred CFM powered, and within the order its heavy on A321NEO… Which is the most in demand new aircraft in world given a scarcity of seats).

It will definitely be okay. Cash will be converting into a very competitive fleet.

I see with have another clown ( probably same one under a different name)

What was said yesterday was that prices will rise closer to 5% than the estimated 10%.

No mention of traffic slowing...........jet 2 have 17% more capacity this year.

So busy at Leeds that yesterday a 757 parked at Manchester was moved to Leeds to help out ( 1 plane had gone tech).

the lower price gives another chance to buy the shares at under 7x last years earnings.

When things are ticking along those that want issues can create them by twisting whats been said.

If you dont like the company or feel its over valued ,either sell or short.

I am happy to add my trading shares ( now underwater ) to my long
position

also O Leary is only repeating what Jet 2 said in its trading statement..Ryan where expecting 10% yoy increases but now looking at somewhere between 0 and 5% ...this is jet2 statement saying pretty much the same thing depending on interpretation of "modest increase.. Trading statement say "Booked to date pricing for Summer 2024 across both our leisure travel products is showing a modest increase compared to the same period last year" would seem they are getting wacked a 2nd time for the same news ..

With the stock price under 17 quid they will have a bond maturing in just over 2years of around 600 Mill which will dent the cash position.. but most of the others have tapped the customer deposits for funding.. I wonder how many aircraft are now owned outright and what the real market value of the current fleet is vs the book value

Lifted this statement from the trading update, wonder if that means 7 of the new NEO's are bought and paid for out of company cash ?
Since February, we have taken delivery of a further two new CFM powered A321neo aircraft from Airbus in line with our agreed delivery schedule, with both paid for from our own cash reserves. We now have seven in our fleet ahead of Summer 2024

certainly not attracting the type of buying that's needed to make decent advances...5 weeks ago looked good to have a run at 18 - 20 quid..now be lucky to hold 13

Ryanair update may indicate UK consumer confidence is weakening.

Whether that impacts JET2 is not a foregone conclusion.
