Surprised that goldfinger hasn't given an update since the results. His 70p prediction was spot on so it'd be great to hear his latest views.

Was news for bulls, the shorters were not heavy at this time Vlad. Sort of suggests they knew what was to play out from 'within' the overall programme

They kept the balance overall, of ITV buybacks plus their low amount, keeping it real

Anotherwards it all seems very much preordained

Was very clever II. Whoever wants the studios sub 20 , put itv in a position of selling assets and spending the cash on buybacks, after heavy shorting rinse and repeat

For ITV to get to the same level (market cap to turnover) as Rolls Royce it would need to rise 200% or to about £2.10p a share....
Rolls Royce has products that seem to be pointing towards the future....
I'm not sure ITV "Landline" TV adverts are pointing the same direction...
HOWEVER
I think there is a bright future for ITV Studios and ITVx so £2.10 might seem barmy now but perhaps not so barmy in the near future....
The hard part will be getting to £1 a share from here.....
I suspect, once it gets to 85p it will need more good news to keep it going.....

you'd have to be a bit mad to be short now. i can see plenty more folding and that in turn will quite obviously assist in the upward movement.

That 0.12% reduction accounts for 4.8m of the 29m volume on the 7th.

Point72 Europe reduced their short from 0.53% to 0.41% last Thursday the 7th

So, no one's interested in the short movement on Thursday. It gives a fascinating insight as to what drove the share price gain on Thursday.
Anyway on Monday we will find out what the shorts did yesterday and also whether there were any buybacks.
Obviously vital information is irrelevant if you believe the share price moves by magic/act of God.

She knew for months, results would be scoring a fall in revenue

She also knew, shorters were not going up to the levels required for 56s

Months in the planning ..to sell and call buy back

She basically signalled it's thrash folks

I've seen many a time, people make error on short reductions

Metro bank was one of the best examples from around 3300p down

And it must also be noted, after buybacks, if shorters don't come back (,example above), it does not mean a buyers market replaces them

But you won't have to ponder that thought here for sure
