On a serious note stocks with a high degree of historic correlation with IQE are all bouncing such as Lumentum and AMS AG to name a few. Statistically IQE should bounce soon.

Lumentum has risen 17% in the last one month. This bodes well with IQE just waiting for the results. Bring it on IQE

making a fortune on SPE and BUR today so decided to top up on IQE. I just cannot believe that we aren't going to get a great surprise next week.

Yes, excellent article from Seeking Alpha and it seems to have had a positive effect on the share price - stopped it from dropping further?

Some 'gamblers' on here say that IQE could become 'The New ARM'?

I would be more than happy if it became 'The New VRS':

A particularly interesting bit from the Seeking Alpha report, I thought, was:

IQE’s first half results are out on 29th August followed by a management roadshow and they have scheduled an investor technology day on Friday 21st September for 6 hours including third party supply chain presentations. It’s worth noting that this investor day is in London rather than Cardiff so should have better city attendance.

Marshall Wace have reduced further today. I find it bizarre that the largest of the shorters is gradually reducing their position whilst newer shorts do nothing! They surely must see Marshall's reducing and think there can't be much left for us especially as the share price hasn't dipped now for quite sometime and we are only a week away from half year figures!

That is exactly what we longs all see re: Seeking Alpha report. 2019 is what we are waiting for, then we will start moving through the gears once more. Until then I remain chilled and loaded with what I consider to be cheap shares ;)

Nice to see a very positive write up. I hope they are right and positive news flow will come thick and fast from now on and mark a turnaround sending the shorters running for the hills.

I note, however that the author is long IQE, that however, it not a reason in itself to be sceptical. I would be more concerned if he were not.

That sounds like a very similar situation to IQE. All the analysts saying that it is a fantastic stock but the short position keeps climbing. Is the reason similar that the shorters expect IQE to lose its near monopoly position and to face margin pressure?? IQE has irons in several fires so on the face of it should be in a strong position.
