GuysWeren't we expecting some fund / big buyer to be triggering some threshold after Stena sell off?Or was that just finger in the air nonsense?Does this mean that Stena was offloading to the general market?

Just posted on the XEL boardArlington Chetwynd Talbot - 09 Oct 2014 - 19:30 - 47165 of 47166 - 0I don't like the sound of all this; The Dow Jones industrial average is off 314 points (1.9%) to 16,680 in afternoon trading. The carnage to broader indexes is just as pronounced, with the Standard & Poors 500 down 1.9%, the Nasdaq composite off 1.8% and the small stock Russell 2000 tumbling 2% to 1,074, a 2014 low.Look familiar LOL

We might be on the brink of a major stock market crash, might be worth making some plans;

Renewed worries about global economic growth sent U.S. stocks plunging to triple-digit losses Thursday.

The Dow Jones industrial average is off 314 points (1.9%) to 16,680 in afternoon trading. The carnage to broader indexes is just as pronounced, with the Standard & Poors 500 down 1.9%, the Nasdaq composite off 1.8% and the small stock Russell 2000 tumbling 2% to 1,074, a 2014 low.

Interesting that there have been a few large buys showing after hours in recent days especially as the share price appears to be being surpressed after the recent good news...

roundup - 09 Oct 2014 - 16:54 - 8388 of 8391 - 1It is incredible that the share price is now @ 49.5 and us having received good news with respect to the water application, and iodine production increasing month by month. I wonder when Mr market will start to understand that the share price is well below where it should be. Sometimes the market is way behind the curve. I have loaded up as much as possible, I only wish I could take more advantage of these give away prices.

I'm still going for H1 poss Q1 2015 as the turn as the inventories have to finish depleting before the apparent shortage starts.

Q4 tends to be slow. Cosayach and RB have caused the dip, but they both hit serious issues mid this year, what they have will be dropping rapidly. It can take many months for the cycle to complete itself.

CK

The media mentions the iodine mine value at $156 mill but wonders about the true value,

The NPV report comes up with $156m on $45 per kg and a sensitivity drop of minus $14 mill per $1 drop on the iodine price. For every 2.5% cost rise minus $10 mill

RB are selling at discount of probably $32 and lower dumping their inventory and making their mine worthless.

That expensive ALP is worthless and will never return, they bought the mill parts and it's sat in the sand never to be built.

Cash Sirocco had has all been blown and they have $40m debts on the iodine side. It's stuffed imo, well and truly.

Meanwhile down at SQM HQ, the share price is heading for a 5 year low and is under $25 now. Tipped as a buy at $65 by those analysts that don't read their full reports.

They still don't realise mines have closed.

The Company will not fund this non-core water project with the current Iofina cash on hand

seek a joint venture partner

or specific project financing exclusively within Atlantis Water Solutions

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looks like you'll be funding the water as well as the iodine Banksy!

Just how much are you prepared to lose to get this drilling for oil?

As I posted a couple of nights ago, I expect a determination in w/c 8th Dec or so...Worth keeping an eye on the DNRC website though, to see whether any objections have been lodged...GLA

I saw a document on the DNRC website ome time ago, which IIRC, stated a 45 day public notice period (e.g. in papers etc for 45 days) followed by a 15 day period at the end to make your objection, therefore a total of 60 days, adn as Bogg1e points out, from the DNRC website, the objection deadline is commonly 60 days after publication of the PDTG public notice.

simmy, i thought the same, however the list of applications listed under the montana DNRC website demonstrates that the objection deadline is usually 2 months after the determination to grant is made public.

The 3 February 2014 water update said that the objection period (if that application was PDtG - which, lol, it wasn't) was 30 days. I'm being lazy but whose plucked out this 60 day figure for the October PDtG? And from where? And if it's 60 days, was the Feb update a typo?
