22/5/2015 15:45 | Expect the worst in this investing business and everything after is cream on the cake if it turns out well.... and then how many shares have you seen collapse on good news...it can be hard to win! | awolagain
22/5/2015 15:28 | Better to manage expectations Meb ^^ | monts12
22/5/2015 15:21 | I sense nerves as we wait for the water decision and quite funny that some are contemplating a rejection. I thought getting it was a 99% cert ! lol | meb123
22/5/2015 14:52 | awol, correct. Does anyone know what these new plastic applications are that SQM is supplying iodine for? | che7win
22/5/2015 14:17 | If my reading of the projected end of year numbers is correct then organic growth will be a very good possibility with current funds in the bank, maybe not as fast as we would like. There is no rush as I can't see a rise in the Iodine price any time soon unless we have a major drop in supply or rise in demand...why is that going to happen? So water is not a business breaker. I would love to see our strategists produce the long awaited plan asap! GL | awolagain
22/5/2015 12:47 | Given that its taken over two years to get this water permit (we hope!), I would suggest that they do start applying for the next one asap. Otherwise there could be another two world recessions before we get the next one! TFC | the fat controller
22/5/2015 12:42 | Same here bobbyshilling, though the share price was hammered when there was an objection. Not receiving the permit,it is priced in. Having said that there are some who will try to take advantage and the price may drop but not for long. The business is sound and expanding. | rogerbridge
22/5/2015 11:56 | SG, some of us have to think short term; I won't be around in 30/40 years! | bobbyshilling
22/5/2015 11:21 | slowly heating up? | odvod
22/5/2015 11:13 | "If it's a JV with the partner taking on costs then there is nothing to spend any up front payment on re the water side." What a lovely 'problem' to have. :-) | woodpeckers
22/5/2015 11:09 | If it's a JV with the partner taking on costs then there is nothing to spend any up front payment on re the water side. I doubt they would immediately chase another permit. The oil circs don't justify it right now. Some think short term but the Bakken oil story will be around for the next 30/40 years. At some point it will expand with more vigour west into Montana. We have to get the permit first then we can wonder about what next on that side. | superg1
22/5/2015 10:59 | SG, are you sure that they will definitely use any up front water payment to progress the iodine side of the business? I appreciate that it makes sense to do so but everything they have stated so far suggests that they intend to keep the two sides of the company completely separate. ('The Company will not fund this non core water project with the current Iofina cash on hand but instead seek a joint venture partner or specific project financing exclusively within Atlantis Water Solutions.' and 'we look forward to updating the market with regards to the future plans of our water division, Atlantis Water Solutions.”) | woodpeckers
22/5/2015 10:53 | 'They can expand if they have the cash, then the expansion pays for further expansion etc'. That's what I meant SG, but you put it slightly better. :) | bobbyshilling
22/5/2015 10:49 | Well I hope you are right monts, but judging by what has happened before with the share price when we had hold ups with water progress the share price dropped significantly. BUT, that will present a chance to add at better prices if inclined to do so. On the other hand, if we do get the water permit (which I am hoping) that will propel IOF forward much quicker, as we will generate significant cash flow - whether we are partnered or not - and enable us to apply for another permit with confidence and roll out portable units. THEN we are in real business! The waiting game is nearly over to find out. | bobbyshilling
22/5/2015 10:25 | I'd rather we gave all investors a reason to hold, preferably for the long term. | woodpeckers
22/5/2015 10:07 | Well that would get rid of the non core investors at least :-) | superg1
22/5/2015 09:46 | The share price will take a hammering though should we not get it, non core or not. | bobbyshilling
22/5/2015 09:15 | Up We all want it out of the way. Water is handy if they get it, but the iodine business is the company maker. | superg1
21/5/2015 23:03 | Not a single paid-up member posted since erm, I did 22 hours ago. 32,000 posts to get to this? If this was a load of books they'd have been rightly pulped by now... | arlington chetwynd talbot
21/5/2015 22:42 | Yep..... the suspense is killing me!!!!!!!!! | beeezzz
21/5/2015 21:25 | Lucky it's non core otherwise it would be clogging the thread. | uppompeii
21/5/2015 18:48 | puzzled, how it can take all this time, like a never ending story????? | neddo
21/5/2015 16:54 | So after all the waiting is the short quote by Severn the total output from the HE? If so I think I will apply for the job, doesn't seem that onerous, and certainly not time critical. Hope our response after all this time is just. YES | freshvoicem |
