19/5/2015 06:57 | io1 has titanium towers so they will no doubt want to re-use those. Plants can be re-located, If they are going to move it, it will be lock stock and barrel. If there is a cost saving to be made re a move v a new plant then they'll move it. As I recall they were developing their own staff to complete construction, so a move seems likely. Beeezzz Obviously the final order will have to be done by the 5th, they would then notify IOF who I believe wait for it in writing then draft an rns, and submit it to the nomad and so on. So news at the latest imo the week following the decision. | superg1
18/5/2015 21:18 | Yes definitely IO.1 I'm now wondering whether, when we hear about the water, it will have much of an impact on the share price If it was followed on by a 10 mill JV, that would still be less than 4p per share if I've got my sums right even if the market factored it all in (and that's calculating in GPB rather than USD!). Of course, the point will be the ability to expand more quickly, what that means, and the income from the water, but I am not sure the market will really price any of that in, or not much of it, until we see more plants up and running or the water is on the verge of being bought. Psychologically, though, it will be a huge relief just to know what's what and what the plans are (to be turned into worry about whether the plans all work out in the end!). Just thinking aloud to get my own expectations realistic! | madchick
18/5/2015 21:03 | It is definitely IO1 that is being decommissioned. | roboben
18/5/2015 20:50 | As far as I am aware IO1 is being decommissioned | phoenixs
18/5/2015 20:49 | I think he means IO2, & it's a question I've had since we were told it was being de-commissioned. 1. How much of it is re-useable & do they have the bits to bring it up to "standard" IOF performance? 2. Are there the right sites for it? 3. Does that mean a pro-rata increase in production? | napoleon 14th
18/5/2015 19:48 | Monty You mean IO1? Not IO2? | freshvoicem
18/5/2015 19:45 | The price has been going up on lower than normal volumes so there doesn't seem to be any rumours causing the buying just that there don't appear to be sellers. That's not entirely surprising considering there is a good chance they are going to exceed market expectations for iodine production this half. Market guidance was for 220-260mt and they did 127.9t in the first quarter which is when recovery rates/production are at their lowest because of winter/temperature disruption. They averaged 42.6t/month in Q1 and only need 44t/month in Q2 to beat the top end. Higher production then means a substantial increase in in profitability. I'm intrigued to know what is going to happen to the Io2 plant. Is it being shifted to one of the 2 sites where they already have bases built in Oklahoma? It seems the sensible thing to do. 18 May'15 - 11:56 - 32552 of 32569 3 0 Someone is after stock here... neddo 18 May'15 - 12:01 - 32553 of 32569 0 0 ????? odvod 18 May'15 - 12:05 - 32554 of 32569 1 1 maybe it is just buy the rumor sell the facts ??????? | monty panesar

18/5/2015 16:54 | That appears to be a mini 'break-out'...one of many to come. Next stop (or straight through) at 43p. | angel of the north
18/5/2015 16:22 | As they have til end june to publish the results Im surprised they havent held off til the water announcement. | bogg1e
18/5/2015 16:15 | Boggle Knowing the company I would bet on Friday, as late as possible without breaking another promise. That's assuming the abacus hasn't broken! | freshvoicem
18/5/2015 14:14 | Boog1e - if it was me I would leave it as late in the week as possible if they haven't had water news in the next two or three days. Allowing for the fact they need to arrange presentations with reasonable notice, (not that they have to be on results day, although they do need to be sufficiently close to allow for post results Broker forecasts (not that I am an expert on how these things operate). Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
18/5/2015 14:10 | Another note has just come out re a miner in Chile. The broker identifies the big problem re water and the costs associated with seawater. For that reason they have downgraded Antofagasta to a sell. It's a shame they didn't analyse the plethora of information 2 years back, which showed this was exactly what was going to happen. Now I see there is a bit of media coverage over the many toxic tailing dams that appeared over the years. The recent rain/flooding highlighted the risk faced if such tailing dams overflow and contaminate the fresh water systems. | superg1
18/5/2015 14:04 | Cheers Spike! Tuesday 26th then hopefully. | bogg1e
18/5/2015 13:53 | On the facts side they expect revenue to be over 35 percent more than last year. With iodine production having recently hit record rates. On a water fact IOF as stated by them expect to get the permit. With such strong comments it was worth checking the available info to see why they were so confident and it seems it's justified. Rumour buying may be in play after a permit decision. | superg1
18/5/2015 13:50 | Boog1e Fact 1: factually incorrect!!! Monday 25th is a Bank Holiday: IOF RNS states: The 2014 results will now be announced during the week commencing 25 May 2015. Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
18/5/2015 13:24 | Cyber cheers. Odvod, there are no rumours, only two facts. Fact 1, the market is expecting 2014 revenues on May 25th. Fact 2, at some point on or before June 6th Iofina will receive official confirmation that they either have or have not been granted the water permit. | bogg1e
18/5/2015 13:21 | wiki A rumor or rumour (see spelling differences) is "a tall tale of explanations of events circulating from person to person ..... now this BB ....is | odvod
18/5/2015 13:20 | The bid price appears to be false.Remember that we reached 55p+ intraday when the original grant of the water permit was announced a few months back.GLA NAI | cyberbub |
