12/5/2015 12:54 | See Australia is predicting 'significant El Niño' event this year. Not sure what this means for Chile? More rain or less? | freshvoicem
12/5/2015 12:42 | cyber, I think they mean the percentage likelihood of each happening, ie chance of the company making a net profit/ needing to raise cash/ getting the water permit. | woodpeckers
12/5/2015 12:35 | Sorry I don't know what you mean by the percentages in the last couplw of posts? | cyberbub
12/5/2015 11:49 | nashwan, Likely profit 20% (I think EBITDA positive with a small loss overall) Cash raising 10% Water permit 90% The real direction of the share price will be driven by the growth plans and their perceived ability to execute on them PLUS the underlying price of iodine. All IMHO and DYOR. | crazycoops
12/5/2015 11:15 | re 32456 - Thank you SG | alphacharlie
12/5/2015 10:58 | Nashwan, What are they going to raise the cash for in your opinion? | che7win
12/5/2015 10:53 | Wild guesses but I think likely profit 55%, Cash raising 60% and water permit award 70%.As for share price well no real direction until all 3 known. | nashwan123
12/5/2015 09:41 | Interesting dilemma for buyers...buy now with the potential award of water permit due any day or wait until closer to results week in case price drops a couple of pence before then??? | tim3416
12/5/2015 09:30 | Alpha I reminded IOF that it was up for renewal, the application to renew is straight- forward. It has to be done something like 6 months before the expiry. That was when the new team were in NOT the old team. | superg1
12/5/2015 09:14 | Was it ever established that IOF had actually renewed that discharge permit? I recall SG raised this issue/possibility about a month ago and I asked then but no one responded. | alphacharlie
12/5/2015 08:47 | I'm too busy working on another that looks as if could be the lead in a particular sector or two. Aspects that hit just about every product out there. An exciting sector where plenty know about it, but don't. | superg1
12/5/2015 08:10 | Superg, HNR on your radar? One of directors started up IOF, they are interested in oil, gas, iodine, worth keeping an eye on.I don't have any interest beyond the IOF link. | che7win
12/5/2015 07:38 | It could also be that they fancy increasing the allowable expenses for the secret santa presents. Danster thanks. It could relate to the discharge permit and rights swap as the permit application is not connected to Atlantis in any way. EG the discharge permit allows them to discharge treated water into the Missouri river system from Atlantis, they would then own that water. It all depends if it's viable or not on costs. All the produced water has in it to remove is some salt, at lower levels than seawater. That ability triggered the rights swap with the US fisheries. No point going into that now, The water permit is a bonus and I'm confident they will get it. | superg1
11/5/2015 22:51 | Lie lie lie... are you comfortable with that Graham? | arlington chetwynd talbot
11/5/2015 22:48 | Camerong, I agree with Che. There seems no obvious reason to need more cash. And even if they did decide to change strategy and raise cash to fully fund the water project themselves, there seems no reason to issue shares at any significant discount - the granting of a massive water permit and the likely demand for that water, would IMO ensure that there was enough obvious future revenue to enable raising cash at a minimal discount from these levels... who know they might even manage to raise a good chunk in debt rather than equity... So there seems absolutely no reason for the share price to "nosedive" as you claim! NAI | cyberbub
11/5/2015 22:23 | Camerong, This management are super-conservative, they will not do anything that doesn't enhance shareholder value. They are sitting on a lot of cash, cash they haven't spent yet, I fail to see how they would need any more cash above and beyond the growing cash pile they sit on....to get them to spend that is hard enough! Do you seriously think they are going to raise more and suddenly go on a spending spree? The idea excites me, but I don't think it's in their psyche. On the water funding, I think they have made it as clear as they can, to quote: "The Company will not fund this non-core water project with the current Iofina cash on hand but instead seek a joint venture partner or specific project financing exclusively within Atlantis Water Solutions." | che7win
11/5/2015 22:19 | Could be a company looking to carry out due diligence and IOF ensuring accounts are watertight. | storming norm
11/5/2015 20:58 | I was like superg1 looking forward to seeing the accounts and if they confirmed a good base for the future profitability would have been happy to put some more money into the shares despite being in a loss position. One possible reason for the delay is that management are thinking of a rights issue to fund or accelerate growth and maybe to keep the water rights completely in house. Management are not going to leak this otherwise the price will nosedive | camerongd53
11/5/2015 20:47 | Superg your post 32401. It was the December 2013 Chairman's Statement, "The Board believes the approved permit could add substantial shareholder value in the future. If our permit is ultimately denied, our Montana strategy and assets will need to be reassessed". | danster4
11/5/2015 20:41 | I have been in AGL for a couple of years too Monty. It has world beating technology. The FDA approval is taking a long time to come through, ( good job it's not water approval!) but there is a great deal of positive news that should keep the share price motoring upwards. | rogerbridge
11/5/2015 20:09 | I mentioned AGL here a couple of years ago. It broke £1 today and FDA approval is due soon. TMZ is another medical device company likely to take off over next 6 months as its Sensium plaster is adopted commercially in multiple countries. | monty panesar
11/5/2015 20:00 | Not the RNS I was expecting but as long as they are producing decent amounts of iodine and a decent price I'm not too worried. | monty panesar
11/5/2015 17:38 | Over 90 posts today discussing an RNS that announces a 2 week delay to results. Makes me wonder what it will be like when we hear either way about the water!! I'm as disappointed as anyone, but anyone that's contacted the company seems to say that it's to do with the accounts and I think if they could have posted them they would have, regardless of whether water news was there or not, so the accounts has it for me. I don't think it changes anything, but I agree that it isn't exactly the sign of reliability that the market wants to see from them. Anyway, with this, it will soon be 100 posts today on what was a pretty uninteresting RNS :-) | madchick |
