SG
392 official line is all OK.
Why didn't the RNS say so?
I hope your optimism is well placed.
Edit Was referring to post371.
See you are still happy. I didn't feel the answer completely satisfactory.

I cannot see reason for delay at 12th Hour. Water and tie ups are all future prospects the results are about what has happened up to 31st December 2014; not last week, yesterday or tomorrow. So what have they found at the last minute? Unfortunately not normally positive. Either the accountants, auditors, NOMADs or ultimately BOD are responsible for the delay.
I too am a shareholder and this delay does little to repair my confidence after past mismanagement.

Maybe we need to start accounts again.Three week delay suggests very serious problems, not a tweak.
Auditors refused to sign off?
Going concern problems?
What else takes 3 weeks to sort?

Hurricane:- yours is a good example of wild speculation. Unfortunately, the company has opened the door for such suggestions. There is no need to put the worst possible scenario forward.

Well it can't be anything material can it? That has to be announced to the market, and not at a time they choose. Too many other opportunities out there I'm afraid rather than to have a hat hanging on this. I'm glad I've been out these past 30 months and I'm afraid I see nothing to invite me back in. They seem determined to reinforce that for people who watch with interest. Shoddy.

Cyber

As pointed out the were due to be in the UK now, in meetings post results. I'm guessing other commitments exist within the 2 week period and it gives them time to sort that aspect out and rearrange meetings. I assume the nomad would also need time to liaise with those involved.

I must admit it is hard to understand why there has been such a last-minute delay? Surely if it was some minor accounting issue they could have cleared it up last week, or work all weekend to meet their deadline?? I don't see why there should be a 2-week rather than a 2-day delay... what sort of last-minute tweak (after 4 months of preparation) takes another 2 weeks to resolve? Implies it is something more significant... which could be good as well as bad, of course... who knows!Sigh... just have to wait and see...

incompetence and arrogance at the very least , I am a part owner of this company, though it be small and don't deserve to be treated like this? lance and friends have lost my vote of confidence .

I wouldn't bother with io1 write off debates, nothing that has been said suggests it's anything to do with that.

A last minute decision and as stated in the rns more time needed.

What bothers me also is the timing of this RNS - the last day. Why is that needed???

Because it was LITERALLY last minute..... funds aware. IOF not happy either with having to delay news.

As suggested IOF were due to be here today and it's had to be rescheduled at the last minute.

Regarding IO1 write down - it is not a process taking time. It is a binary decision known for some time. They should have consulted auditors even before they started the dismantling. It is a good management to know the consequences of actions.

What bothers me also is the timing of this RNS - the last day. Why is that needed???

Here we go again, a vague announcement leading to speculation. Superb comes to the rescue with reassuring words of comfort. There shouldn't be a delay in the first place. They have had ample time to have the results sorted to the satisfaction of all concerned.

Logistics is the main word coming through

btw this bit is just the definition of logistics.

'the detailed organization and implementation of a complex operation.'

I don't think it's anything to do with water.I also think underlying results will be good.I think it's to do with IO1 and whether they write some of it off.The important line is:"allow more time to finalise its year-end results".Just my opinion, can't think of any other reason, but if I were the company, I would want to write off part of io1 in last years results. They need to be careful how they treat it, if they move it to Oklahoma, then they shouldn't write much of it down, otherwise it would flatter future profits.Mmm, just speculation on my part.

Up

I totally agree, it's never seen as a good thing. I'd given up on a pull back to 32/33 pre news so was due to get some more today, so personally happy, but unhappy for investors who were looking forward to an update.

It just so happens it's all at a time when there are so many things in play in Chile, and the water.

It is feasible that the phone started ringing as on Friday the Canadian court ordered the firing of all RB employees. RB and Clark had been keeping people dangling on a thread of hope claiming they had a firm offer.

I understand IOF were to be over here now but perhaps events have meant they have had to delay that. We can only guess, but the official message so far is nothing is wrong.

And that is a problem - no explanation why the delay. Keeps the door open. If good - bad as some in the know will load up. If good - IOF should not speculate. all imvho
