02/4/2015 10:39 | You've got it, so there is 222k of volume for one deal that really wasn't a deal at all just an event where the bet is rolled-over. It creates false volume in terms of what people think should move the price. | ![]() superg1
02/4/2015 10:23 | Yea just spotted them with two 20k just before which seemed to be real deals as moved the price....got it now SG ;-) | ![]() awolagain

02/4/2015 10:02 | Awol How convenient, a roll-over just went through, the 111k x2 deal, you will see it's seconds apart with a slight price difference. | ![]() superg1

02/4/2015 08:24 | Was thinking that surely at the end of the shenanigans SQM are going to be fined quite a substantial amount of money (assuming wrong doings are proven). Which would support SQM having to raise the price they charge for their iodine... It's certainly getting interesting. GLA | ![]() 1madmarky
02/4/2015 08:05 | OBT It's no secret that I have some of those (had them for over 18 months) but if you read the OBT thread, the investors were oblivious to AMI going bust and they were holders of 20 million OBT shares. I'd been sitting patiently waiting for someone to mention it 3 months later the info was out. share price wise it's been up and down form about 9p to 12p. Currently I believe the 20 mill overhang is about to go. 2 mill was taken off it yesterday and a believed few mill left, some claim none. So one to watch in case it has the typical bounce following an overhang clearance. Apparently a bid was made for the lot but the broker rejected it putting it into the market daily which means AMI lost some cash, as the offer was higher than the price it's been selling at. DYOR but it's one where there may be action in the coming week or so. Hopefully one called IOF may see some action too, if the level 2 action showing late yesterday is an indicator | ![]() superg1
02/4/2015 07:56 | I wonder how potash and the other large SQM shareholder will feel now charges have been made against the bosses. The 15% shareholder wants Ponce Lerou out as they say it's untenable due to the insider trading and other allegations (fair point) They have also charged Hernán Büchi Buc, Juan Antonio Guzmán Molinari, Wolf Von Appen Behrmann. Hmmmm now who are they? Ponce lerou SQM chairman Appen Behrmann vice chairman Buc director Molinari director. In short the whole BOD. They list Contesse here but he's already been booted out. What now from the major shareholders? Fire them all !!!! The Super quartermaster of Securities and Insurance (SVS) yesterday issued charges against the president Soquimich or SQM, Julio Ponce Lerou and directors Hernán Büchi Buc, Juan Antonio Guzmán Molinari, Wolf Von Appen Behrmann and Patricio Contesse Fica by speeding the spread essential market information in the terms, form, timing and completeness establishing the existing legal and regulatory framework. | ![]() superg1

01/4/2015 18:47 | Awol Roll overs are a continuation of a position be it a T-trade, spread bet, or CFD etc. EG you may get two trades of an identical amount within seconds of each other with a slight price difference as the position has hit it's end date. They include monthly, quarterly, 6 months, and a year. The longer you go for the higher the extra premium they add on. On a roll-over they need their fee, so the price will be slightly different on the two amounts, 'sold' for the lower amount and 'bought' again on the market. It has no impact on shares available but creates false volume. A bed and ISA works in the same way. Rather than sell and then buy in an ISA, it's cheaper to transfer with a fee of slightly different prices. So the same amount, very close to each other, with a slight price difference is generally a roll-over and has no impact on the number of shares available. I give you a tenner for 2 fivers but I charge you 10p for the service. | ![]() superg1

01/4/2015 17:02 | More late trades than usual but all small? | ![]() freshvoicem
01/4/2015 16:59 | Until I understand it there is no point. It looks like it has fab potential but it has a few aspects which have different ways of revenue creation. 'Things' being sorted to get an understanding, with BR about you have to be careful on timing on many small caps. | ![]() superg1
01/4/2015 16:39 | Awol To cheer you up there was nothing put on the offer to cross at all during the closing auction. Those last smalls sells could have been 10k shares if they wanted. Was all that recent selling just CGT game, we'll find out in the coming days. There was plenty on the bid, quite a bit more than normal, but no one came to play. | ![]() superg1
01/4/2015 15:59 | Caliche I've had a quick look to see if iodine concentrations can be affected by heavy rain. At first glance it seems many caliches are impermeable, that's why iodine and nitrates settle in them as they except water but little passes through. Then in another breath it talks about softer caliches. So it seems the nitrates and iodine leach from the soil above, settling in the caliche below as one type. It changes from place to place depending on where you are in the world. So if the caliche is permeable to some degree then any minerals can be pushed lower down or indeed leached upwards to flow away. I can't cut and paste it but by luck the good old USGS guys have commented on Caliche in the Tarapaca area which is where the iodine action is. They talk of one area with the deposits 2 to 3 metres below others surrounding it, stating it was an old layer of nitrates probably partially destroyed by higher than normal rainfall in the area. So in short some areas of caliche must be affected, but to what extent and where we don't know as yet. Page 31 | ![]() superg1

01/4/2015 15:27 | Awol The seller has been the hold up but roll overs and the CGT bed and Isa's etc will add to the volumes. However with that recent buying of about 70k just, the bid seems to have loaded up more than it has for some time, and the offer weakened. Tomorrow is the last day for CGT due to the B/H weekend. If all this sell volume is connected to that it should become obvious next week. It has been mildly aggressive rather than patience so maybe it is CGT related. | ![]() superg1
01/4/2015 14:14 | Barely 100k volume if you strip out the likely roll- overs. | ![]() leeming

01/4/2015 13:01 | 1MM That point was raised by those in the business, logically thinking it will have surely reduced the ppm to some degree.EG much of RB's acreage has ppms below a viable cut off grade. It could have been 1000's of ppm years ago but now it's generally in the 400 to 500 region. Plenty of variables no doubt but this is the worst rain event since their records began. Perhaps no effect at all but knowing they use water to leach it out, it suggests yields may have been hit. Just a consideration re understanding if SQM mention anything like that. Besides all of that, due to all their circs, I'm betting they will raise the iodine price shortly. Too much shareholder pressure looming for them to continue the cut price game. | ![]() superg1
01/4/2015 12:11 | Probably not a lot. based on the fact that the rock contains high iodine content now and that in its long history of getting pushed up 2000 meters above sealevel it must have rained a fair few times. | ![]() 1madmarky
