There have been a lot of questions asked over the business model over the last year but it appears IOF are going to come out smelling of roses.

New management have behaved in a responsible manner and made sure they have a solid base going forward. They have resisted temptation to build new plants too soon in a market where prices have been falling.

Too early to say for sure iodine price has bottomed but it is looking that way.

Over next few weeks water permit/deal and news on further plant roll out.

Game on.....after a lot of ifs and buts.

Its going in the right direction . Thats good enough for me and I suspect for many long termers on the other site . Admittedley its a slow burner but hey we are all taking our chances on a growth company . Next update will be on water . Even as an innocent bystander with no interest in the shares, it would be foolish to short this one under the circumstances :-)

I don't want to get too excited lol, but it does seem to be a little sign of the turn and in line with what SQM said.

We'll just have to keep watching.

It all depends how much inventory is out there, but if it starts to tick up this is buying season and a big end user or two may want to cash in on the low price.

If only RB would just flip onto their back now and give a final leg kick then it could get interesting.

Cosayach have that pipeline battle with SQM and SQM will want the pipeline. Word in Chile is that they suspect Cosayach to curl up and die too, as a result of the various money issues and IRS case.

I know SQM are gagging for their pipeline and lithium leases, so an interesting first half ahead.

I see another tentative straw in the wind.

On the Zauba site, even Mr 21600 MT has increased his price ever so slightly on the first deliveries of 99.8% iodine in the new year. Two deliveries were made on the 9th of January at $28.98/kg (1814 INR/kg) compared to $28.24/kg (1777 INR/kg)throughout December for the same grade.
This rise may be small but it is the first monthly rise I have seen by Mr 21600 MT since January last year.

* I am using Zauba's INR/$ conversion rates. These rates were 62.59 for January and 62.915 for December.
