17/9/2020 19:44 | Hello space, I tend to agree, however as a long term shareholder heavily under water I really don't see I have any alternative but to take up the offer? Obviously I should have sold last week but we are where we are. Can you really make a sound financial case for doing nothing at this juncture? Perhaps a little misguided but I am hoping to sell after the dust has settled.Does that make any sense? Any comments welcome! | ![]() bili1
17/9/2020 18:27 | Why 3 shares and not 2? | ![]() action
17/9/2020 17:33 | Lyndon B - thank you, that makes sense! | lordludd
17/9/2020 17:17 | lordludd.. Rough numbers, I think if someone buys your rights, they need to buy: 2 IAGN (2*68)= 136 plus 3 * 85p shares = 255 = 391p for 3 new shares = 130p each. | ![]() lyndon b
17/9/2020 15:57 | Chris...probably best to ask Barclays but if they are offering the rights at 0.97p when they are available at circa 0.67 it seems to make little sense. HL are saying to work on 0.88p per right if you want to take up the rights as a shareholder | ![]() m1k3y1
17/9/2020 15:57 | Reading the posts - are we saying then you have to buy the rights at .97 ( for conversion ) and then share at .67 - is 97+67 = 164 apologies but I just don't understand now - come on you veterans ! I can't get through to Barclays for them to explain either | chrisxen1
17/9/2020 15:26 | Apologies for a perhaps a naive and novice question on the rights issue - I trade via Barclays they are offering the take up at .97p per share - but the rights shares are trading at around 67p - can anyone explain please what happens if I take up at 97p - will me shares automatically trade at 67 or moment whatever it is come next week ? Thank you | chrisxen1
17/9/2020 14:38 | So it transpires that there IS a currency conversion charge to take up your rights. Brokers in the UK pay for the rights in euro cents 0.92 and have to convert your sterling payment for the rights into euros. This is the case for ALL UK brokers apparently. The IAG registrars have set the 'suggested' rights price at 0.88p which should cover the conversion rate and any currency conversion fees. The remaining difference, after paying for the rights, will be paid back to customers. This is , of course, if you want to take up the rights. Apparently, the same currency conversion fee will apply, if you want to sell the rights. | ![]() m1k3y1
17/9/2020 14:16 | Hi all, I’m new to this thread. My trading account shows my IAG Rights as IAGN with a current price of 68p. Some questions for you veterans: 1) If I sell my Rights I’ll get No.of shares held x 68p. But what price does a buyer of my Rights pay for an IAG share; it surely can’t be 68p as it doesn’t make sense to pay 68p for a Right and to then pay 84p for a share (68+84=152p)as this is higher than the current open market share price of 129p? 2) How does a non-IAG shareholding, retail investor buy up the Rights? Thanks! | lordludd
17/9/2020 12:13 | Bp could well also fall to 60p this winter but doubt it. 9nce again if it does ill be buy8ng at 60p to sell at 600p | ![]() spacedust

17/9/2020 09:03 | Well taking the rights into account it's still at 199 so that's 129 to fall. | galileo8
17/9/2020 08:57 | Haha youve been saying that since 210p. We are heading to 60p. 129p now and dropping and its no way near winter yet | ![]() spacedust

16/9/2020 22:19 | It's 3 new Rights shares for 2 original shares....not the other way round! | ![]() thaiger
16/9/2020 22:00 | Hi Lyndon Not quite as I understand it you get one right for every share you hold. For every two rights you hold you get three new shares providing you pay for the rights at cost of 84p per right. Lufty | lufty |
